I must say that mounting 1.9 Rock Beasts to 1.9 RC4WD Steel Oems was the single most frustrating moment of my RC life.

I agree 100%. I ended up making new inner rings out of 2" PVC pipe. I think I cut them to 21mm if I remember correctly. Haven't had a problem since. I did have a set I cut to 19mm and they pulled out pretty easily when they got wet. The rim halves came together before the locked in on the inner ring. I also made a jig to make mounting easier, a servo horn (wide enough to fit inside the rim) and a long 3mm bolt and a nut on both sides. Just start tightening it to the point where I can start a few of the smaller bolts. I can put some pics up if needed. Let me know. Hope this helps.

Do you use sch 40 PVC for the inner ring?

Trying to mount Pitbulls to Pro10's... I've got four mounted with the CI foams but unable to mount the spare using stock foams. Also I don't know if the ones mounted with CI foams are going to hold or not. Going to try and make some inner rings.

Yeah, i'm trying to get the rings as well. I'm trying to mount pitbulls on rc4wd pro10 wheels, same frustrations. If the rings don't come in stock soon, i'm thinking about putting IROKs on the pro10s and buying another wheel for the pitbulls

I was able to mount mine using the CI foams. I've been told the pro10/CI foam/pitbull combo will hold a bead. Once I get it off the bench, I guess I'll find out.

I just bought the RC4wd Raceline Monster 1.9 Beadlock Wheels and the PitBull Rock Beasts. I cannot get these tires mounted to save my life. Will the blue rings make it easier? Even though they are made for the proline tires?

But so rewarding, they look great (and very scale) and are relatively light for metal durable wheels!

You just have to be patient and play with it. ;)

Great option that gives about 1/4 inch extra width to the wheels, great looking 1.9 Wraith btw!

Starting it with a couple longer screws and nuts, then slowly and evenly tighten the screws around the circle in a criss cross pattern while holding the halves with one hand and constantly checking the tire bead and tucking in as needed on both sides!

You just have to be patient and play with it. ;)

I have a set of 2.2pitbulls and they are fantastic! However i mounted them on a no name set of alum beadlocks and they would mount fine but the bead would unseat within minutes. I mounted them on a set of prolines and the problem was solved. The thin beads are really hard to seat well.

hey Wally101 I see you used the spacers, and the link for them, but where do you get the weights, I would like to buy some of the spacer weights instead of using the sticky back ones.

I'm using Original RC4WD stamped steel 1.9''' rims with Rock Beasts and C.I. Closed Cell Foams and sticky back weights in the front two, they were kinda of pain in the ass, the trick I found was to evenly tighten the nuts in clockwise motion, and work the bead in on both sides of the wheel as you tighten, and if the bead comes out, I loosen the nuts evenly and work the bead back in with out having to separate it and start over. My Super Swamper XL's were the hardest tires I have even mounted even with the C.I. Closed Cell Foams, and my Super Shafty rims that use 3.5 mm hardware. same thing with the Swampers, start all the nuts evenly, all the way around working the bead in or out so its even on the rim. believe me, it took me long time to mount them, the Rock Beasts were easy cause of the tricks I learned and I was watching play-off hockey, so it wasn't too bad.
