Default reducing 1.9 flat-irons to 1.55 flat-irons: questions for you experts

hey if i were to reduce my flat-irons to 1.55's, would it be best to use 1.55 sidewalls? or to cut out a pie section of the tire and then glue them shut.

how do you know exactly how much to cut out? and what size would they end up being if they're like 4.2" at 1.9?

If you cut a pie shape out they gain some width for sure, but still look nice.

I always cut 4 lugs out of mine to fit a 1.5.

I also have shaved all the sidewall lugs off the one set on my ''stocker'' build. They actually worked really well

You could just use a 1.55 sidwall and cut it the same size as where the origional beadlock ring would sit on the origional 1.9 and just glue it into place so you don't lose any height.

Just gotta trim the old bead just a touch.

when doing sidewall cut-n-shuts, does regular ol' super-glue work? or is it too brittle?

Rubberized CA glue is always the way to go as it allows it to flex
