| Maxx Rim Offset
Hey guys, I'm in the process of designing/collecting parts for a "Bashing" truck. It's gonna use regular "Maxx" size (3.2") rims. Now, while everyone with Maxx's always seems to want to widen their truck, I'm looking to do the opposite. As such, I am trying to find out if there are any rims on the market that will take away some of the offset that the stock Maxx rims provide. So far, I haven't found much of anything..................... Anyone have any experiance with this? If it isn't feasable, then I'll likely look at the Pro-Line "Maxx Velocity" wheels, as they seem fairly light (& pro-line wheels tend to be tough). http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAWF2&P=7 Any feedback is appreciated. |

I looked for something that tucked the wheels in for a while, and I had little luck. For no reason at all, here's two posts of mine showing the Proline Velocity wheels on my TXT. One is the standard width, the other is the wide stance version. Wide version sucks, period. Basic TXT build up Basic TXT build up Those are with Heydco's adapters, which are about 3/4 inch thick. With the RCGuy version, you'll not have that extra 3/4 inch each side. ;) That's the ticket right there. |
