I would like to see a set of the Moabs mounted on a clod. After seeing some 40 series mashers and joes cut and shut perform exceptionally well at the utrcrc comp, im surprised that know one has them mounted yet. Lets see them.

I put a set on Project NOFAB this afternoon, didn't get any pics yet though. I tested them for about 5 minutes, and they did really well, more testing to come.

Ok... I just got these last night and haven't had time to test them out. They are the M2 compound and I'm hoping these will be as good or better than the giant tracs. Just call me jtothec and come over and check them out. I will have a write up on utrcrc.com as soom as I can test them (weather is crap) and get off my lazy a$$ and write it up. But here are a few stats. actual height: 6 3/4" (same as BFT's) actual width: 3 7/8" (BFT 3 1/2") actual weight: 11.5oz. w/rim (BFT 10oz w/BFT rim - Giant Trac is 10.5oz. w/clod rim) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -PF

Hmmmm. They are a tad wide. I'm wondering if the sidewall is tall enough. The wheels are sure BLINGY!!!! They match your style!!!!!! Jason was telling me that they seem real sticky but the "shiny black" never really went away, like on the giant tracs. Anxious to start hearing some good reviews on them. In the mean time....I'm out the door in search of some of these tires!!!

Its nice to here the main stream did something right just for rock crawling. I was scared they would suck and low sales would make proline think twice about building crawler tires kind of like what happened to imex. But this is good new.

I went to HTown today at lunch, they only had 2 Moab series tires left. But I didn’t really care for the tread anyway. So I bought the Big Joe's, they are made from the M2 compound as well and I like the more open tread pattern. However they are shorter (6.4" tall) and have less sidewall. I also picked up the proline Velocity 6 wheels. I will try to narrow them about an inch I think. Are you guys using the Moab’s just because they say “Moab”? According to ProLine all of the 40 series tires are made from the M2 compound. I guess Project ModClod loses it's axles for this weekend so The SuperDuke can go to Jason's.

Do some tread trimming and mount some fake beadlocks to cover up the bling of the wheels and call it cake. The tires themselves look good (except the lack of sidewall) and I think with some creative trimming and wheel narrowing they will be even better.

heh grizz, my first choice would be a 7" step pin tire by proline. as for the name m2 compound all the proline offroad tires are either m2 or m3, one is softer but they are the same compound. like i said before its not so much about the tread pattern. as for the name the name the should have named them the grizzly bear

I heard tell that Jason's (Sleepless) tires werked pretty good so maybe the grip will make up for the lack of sidewall on the Big Joes. I hope, or else I'll be headed back to HTown.

Nope, been busy working nights at the waterplant and days at the trailer park. I'll give them a good run and get some pictures on saturday when everyone comes over for the raffle. We'll even mount them up on other guys trucks so we get more than just my opinion.
