So now you guys are saying: 4.19 OD 1.25 might be the call .165 tread depth or so. Use the same beads as we do on the 1.9 Rock Beast 0.5mm thicker sidewall than the 1.9 sidewall |

I still think a 1.55 would look better. There are not a ton of wheels, but as more tires are made more wheels will follow. Plus the tire will look much better in 4.19 with a 1.55 wheel, and as some have said before a 1.55 can be stretched over a 1.9. If the tire is made for a 1.55 wheel it is a win for the guys who want a more scale looking wheel and the guys with 1.9 wheels. There are a couple other 4.19 tires out that work pretty well, but not really anything in a 1.55 by 4.19. Make it a 1.55 please!

| Re: Who Wants a 1.55 Pit Bull??? TURTLE - that's the whole idea here, a 1.55 pit...and with the last reply it'll be a 4.19" OD, 1.25" width and .165 tread depth, thicker sidewall than the 1.9 Pits and the same bead as the 1.9s. I asked for a 1.55 wheel that'll help pull them in some (I tried a 2.0 CAC soft8 but the tire barely stretched and then looked retarded once I got it on). XSRC I think was replying to me that I could stretch it over a 1.9 but I agree with you...it makes the sidewalls bulge too much and doesn't quite look right. Hope that clears it up for ya! |

EDIT: I'll tell what though, a 1.9 tire that was 4.19" would leave room for a 1.55 tire that was shorter than 4". I'm personally still in the "shorter tires look more scale on most 1:10 bodies" camp. Last edited by johnnyh66; 09-10-2012 at 08:43 AM.

This is a 4.19 inch 1.55 over a 1.9 wheel.. IMO it looks ok to me? Personally I'd prob use 1.9s but I'm not mad about a 1.55 tire and I figure it gives the most options for everyone |

Yeah, I think I'd tend to agree. I prefer 1.9s because 1.9" wheels can tuck farther in than 1.5" wheels....and that can come in handy for Class 1 builds. While I think stretching 1.5s over 1.9 wheels bulges the sidewalls more than I'd prefer, I think it would be best to please the most people.

XSRC, those do look good on your H3 but they'd look terrible on my 34 Ford. With both my C2 and C3 I want the tallest legal tire... C1, I'm going for more scale appearance. Here's a mock up with the rc4wd 1.55 MTZ (3.28"). And a shot of it next to the 4.19" 1.7 IROK that I was going to use. The short tires look great imo. The 4.19's make it look like Big Foot's grandpa. |

I'm not disagreeing, and honesty in a perfect world we would get multiple sizes like 1:1. I'm sure that is not possible from a cost point, so IMO its best to start with what will sell, and I think it's pretty obvious that max c1 height is the popular choice. Even though "personally" I'd want a 4.19 inch 1.9 I "agree" a 1.55 is probably the best choice for pitbull |

Agreed. I also think Max Legal size will be the hot seller. I just want it smaller for purely selfish reasons! No matter what, I would love to have more sizes from Pit Bull! |

I would buy a set for sure, I like bigger tires so legal limit is fine with me. Good job so far guys! I have a set of the 1.9's and they are one of my favorite tires without a doubt! |

I'll buy a set. The 1.55 F-Toy needs some new shoes. 4.19x1.25 with the bead and sidewall suggestions sounds good to me. Think a 1.35 width would be too wide? |
