| 2.2 TSL foams
I got some 2.2 TSLs and i was wonder if you guys like the stock full foam or are you cuttin it down? Normally I would just mount them up and see what I like but I'm going cheap and got some stock wraith wheels ont the way that I'm gluing them on. Going on my wraith that does mostly woods/fast trails/wet rocks.

I think you really need a stiffer foam. I used the 2.2 tsls on my 11 lb scaler and the stock memory foams were sadly soft. Not sure what a wraith weighs but I know they're quick, so the tires may fold over on fast corners. If you can, look for a used pair of axial 2.2 beadlocks. They're cheap and plentiful, and will let you un-mount the tires if you want to try different foams. The tsl's are nice tires and are worth not wrecking them with glue.

Thanks for the info! My wraith is setup pretty light but fast. I just hate the look of the 2.2 axial beadlocks on a wraith. They are way to wide/stick out to far and don't look scale.

Yeah I hear ya, many of the beadlocks out there look bad from a scale perspective. But I can't stand the idea of gluing tires on a scaler/crawler. I really think Axial pooped the bed when they switched from beadlocks to glue-wheels in their kits. You won't be able to get the tires off without some degree of damage to the bead surface, and like I said these are pretty nice tires- be a shame if you weren't happy with the foam setup and couldn't (easily) do anything about it. I have several sets of rc4wd steelies- they look totally scale and hold the bead great without any rings or extra screws. Well worth the money.

my 1/6th scale Jeep weighs in at 14 lbs, so the stock foams weren't going to work at all for me, I had to make my own from auto upholstery foam.

Right BigSki, and did you get the foam tuning right the first time? I really can't see gluing tires in this hobby. Leave that for the carpet-racers. In crawling we're constantly tuning and tweeking our rigs, why "stick" yourself with glue?
