Great reviews guys

Thanks for the honest opinions war pig. I wondered if they would be up to Rock Beast standards, after seeing the tread pattern. I wouldn't mind losing just a little bit of the gooshy softness of the Rock Beast platform honestly though, in trade for a bit more driving realism. The packing up aspect is the only issue that would bug me.

I also appreciate this feedback, gentlemen. My main concern with the Growler is the tight lug spacing.....which is why I asked about a Class 1 legal version of the Rocker instead. I may still try a set of these tires, though.

I dont think any tire is going to preform as well as the original 1.9 Rock Beast. I think it has to do with the reinforced sidewall or maybe the compound is slighty different, ive noticed it with my 2.2 Rock Beast II. I still think Pitbull is the best Tire company out there, and i hope they continue to raise the bar with scale tires, Hopefully they will make another tire that outpreforms the original 1.9s

I'm with that thought as well.. class 1 rocker! Then again I would like to see a 5.5" rocker II...

The reason for this is, I had some red rovers(1.9) an Bc's(2.2) an my rockers(1.9) out the other day.. well without bein able to get traction with either comp rig, I got the scaler out.. the love of the rock beast digs deep! I was pulling 90%+ of my comp rigs lines(when its dry out) with my scale rig with the 1.9 rockers on cold wet slippery rock!
Tho I'm up for running the growlers for my class 1, till the class 1 rocker is out. I really want to test them out on my 2.2 comp rigs! nuts, maybe..... But until its tested an proven they won't work for a comp tire, I'm goin to want some!

Pitbull.. Rock-er our rigs!

@warpig: in some pics it looks like the foams are pretty stiff inside because you don't see a lot of flattening of the tire. Do you think with a softer set of foams they may grab a bit better when under load? Instead of spinning or jumping?

I wouldn't want to go to soft because of sidewall warp but to me it looks like it was stiff, what's ur opinion?

I think the foams are pretty good. I did discover that my rear shocks didn't have oil in them think that might have been where some of the hopping was coming from. It's better now.

More testing today at Rivervilla Park.

So these tires have me perplexed. They seem like they plug up with dirt easily.

But then I drive up a muddy slimy rock ledge like this....is this really a Class 1 rig?

It seems that no matter what you do they always have a layer of dirt on them, but they keep going and going and going....

By the way, I hope you appreciate these pictures. All taken while trying to walk with crutches.

I'm not sure what to say about these tires.....they just seem to work better when they get wet and muddy.

I'm hoping that I feel good enough to go to the scale comp next weekend and at least run the Class 1 courses so I can see how these tires do. So far I'm more impressed the more I drive them. More to come!

I have a job to do, and I'll do whatever I can to get the tire testing done .

I have missed it tremendously. The last time I drove my scalers was TTC. I bought a Kyosho Rally car and have been rallying it around my neighborhood from a folding chair the last couple weeks, but that's about it. I'm getting more and more mobile every day so I might see you next Sunday. Might have my Class 1 rig there to see how it does against you guys (if it's not raining too hard). It's been nice getting out and crawling on the rocks the last few days. BTW, I have a t-shirt for both you and Bubs.

Put my hands on a set tonight and they looked really good. Did seem a little stiffer than the rock beasts and not quite as sticky. I'm looking to use these on a scale rig used for towing, which will be nice with the added sidewall support.

They are exactly the same size. I don't have any M/T to compare but they would be so close that you couldn't tell the difference.

Just ordered a set and waiting patiently haven't driven my tf2 in a long time due to those stock tires can kiss my opposite end of me pee stick.

Hey pitbull hit me up if you need a tester for those SC tires we were talking about I run asphalt clay and loamy tracks. 4wd sct 4 pole goes hard on a heavy rig. LMK and I can't wait to get my growlers.
