8.0" Super Rock Beast 2's by Crawler Innovations

I've been wanting to make this set of tires since the Pit Bull Rock Beast 2's arrived in December. I find myself waiting on my suppliers this week so I made good use of the time getting caught up on custom orders. This set is headed to Australia"thumbsup"

It took a total of 10 tires to make the four pictured below. The tread is Pit Bull's Rock Beast 2 and the sidewalls are Pro-Line Trenchers. Foams are Crawler Innovations 7.75" Super Nova with soft outer front and medium outer rear. Wheels are custom narrowed XTM Thorns.

That's so sick, I've been looking at making a set of tires for my super and was somewhat eyeing these tires.

Cannot wait for these bad boys.
I like how you have shaved the sidewall and left the made in the USA, on the sidewall:-)

Awesome!

I was having a similar idea, I was gonna try them on the 2.2 pro first. The compound seems like a great comp tire after a little TLC.

My mate has them on iS 2.2 pro.

He loves them, just consider the 5.5 foams with tuning rings. He tried the 6.0 and they were ok, then he went the 5.5 with tuning rings. I don't think he'll use anything else.

Thank you for all the compliments and kind words guys"thumbsup". I wouldn't have the opportunity to create things like these cut n shuts without all of you supporting C.I.
I am extremely grateful, thank you.

Thank you for noticing that on the side wall"thumbsup". I'm excited to hear how well this tire and foam combo performs for you. Thank you for your patience, it took much longer than normal to get these made.

Thank you sir. I personally cannot speak to driving trencher sidewalls. I sold my super last year and have not been personally testing super tires or foams lately. For super tire construction purposes, the trencher is nice because it is a double thickness sidewall. The extra thickness gives a nice wide surface area to glue to. That extra thickness also makes them heavier. In my opinion I feel that shaving the Trencher sidewall is a must in order to soften the overall feel of the tire.

The old Moab XL was a better sidewall for super size cut n shuts because it was thinner and lighter in weight. It's been discontinued for a while a now, and I don't see any new super size or MT size tire coming out with great promise for crawling.

For whatever reason, my tire supplier had the Pro-Line #1600 Trencher discontinued and it took two months to get Trenchers through them. Apparently the trencher tire for the Traxxas Summit is the best selling version of the trencher tire, the problem is the bead design will not work for a crawler. The summit has bead locks that use a very thin rubber bead.
