Default Narrowed LST PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hera ya go! I took an inch out of the middle. Now the tires are actually round, I have yet to try em out. I will give feedback soon as I have a chance.

Looks nice.

I need to figure out what tires I'll run on Bastard Jr. I had been contemplating narrowed LSTs, but wasn't sure how they'd look.

Looks good enough for me.

Nice work! Looks like they'll work good. I'm curious about foams too. Those would be sweet on a big scale rig.

Thanks guys. Yeh I think they should work awesome. As far as foams. I forgot who on the board here had this ides but I cut one in half (width), then cut triangles into the the foam. I ran fullsize foams with the triangles cuton the LST's before they were narrowed. Here is a pic.

I'm using these rims, they're aluminum. I break too many plastic rims and hexes so I'm finished with the plastic.

I'll get some pics of them on the truck, cause it is finished now. But I havent really been able to do any crawling cause we just got like 2 feet of snow.

Finally narrowed up one for myself to see how I was going to like it. Took an inch out of the center as well.

Then I decided to use an old stock Savage wheel to practice narrowing first before I start cutting the wheels I want to use. I ended up narrowing the wheel down to a 1.5" overall width which pulls the sidewall of the tire in a bit. Tires now have a 3" overall width.

Two pics.

I split the tire in half with a razor blade, marked off 1/2" on each half of tire, started a cut with the razor blade then stuck a pair of large scissors in the slit and cut around the tire with scissors.

I took a strip of cardboard 1" wide, and long enough to wrap around the tire. Then centered it on the tire and traced around it with the bling silver sharpies. Then just started cutting. I used a pair of the fiskars with the spring in the handles.

i say if they are allready grooved then just leave em. But If they haven't been grooved go ahead they should look prrety sick. After they are narrowed then groove em.
