Default Fitment Issues

Hey guys I just bought pitbull 2 tires along with RC4wd steelies wheels. These damn tires will not stay on the rims and I'm not sure what I can do. I'm thinking right now I need to return this stuff. Anyone have any insight on this topic? Thanks. Shayn

Have you tried using 3-4 longer starter screws?

Sometimes that helps them to stay on the bead.

I can get it started fine its once I start tightening them down the bead doesn't want to stay in. I bought the pit bull foams as well. They were quite big on the sides. It might help to trim the sides a little but really that shouldn't be needed

Just a quick update. I can get the tires to bead fine without the foams in. Not sure if I'm going to go this route or try and cut the foams down to make it easier to bead the tires. What do y'all think?

I usually bevel the inside edge of the foam at about 45 degrees and that helps a ton. Try also taking a mason jar ring and use it to squish the tire and foam while you tighten the screws. Then the foam will puff back up when you lift it up.

I know that other brand tires have had fitment issues on RC4WD steel wheels, the Pro-Line TSL's for example wont work.
RC4WD design their wheel to fit their tires, sometimes a custom inner ring has to be used to get the tire to fit properly.
