are all the proline tires like the Flat Iron?
 

I snagged a set of proline flat iron tires for a discontinued price and sadly have to day they are going back cause they don't have a beadlock lip. It looks like they cut it off when they was cleaning the extra from the mold off the tires. 2 of them have the bead cut all the way to the edge of the sidewall. What a drag! They do look great but I don't see how they would ever stay on a wheel. Do all proline tires have that same type of beadlock lip ?

aHH OK ,thanks. I took them back to hobby town and Eric said they did not look like a beadlock type of lip so he let me return them, plus 2 of them the bead was cut. What I cant figure out is how it was 2 packages with the same damage,poor quality control.

Probably why the were discounted. Store probably bought them as "seconds"

I've never had an issue with the beads on flat irons. They mount well and have never pulled out of a beadlock, even when I put a 12 turn in my SCX10 for giggles.

no not at all, he ordered them in just for me, right from his proline vendor. not a discounted price a discontinued price. i'll stick with my IROK super swampers on the stock TR beadlocks and the BFG Krawlers T/A (stock Poison Spyder) on RC4WD 2.2 aluminum RockStar beadlocks

I have some Chisels and they mount up very easy in beadlock wheels.

Well I'm going to try another set of flat irons and use axial beadlock wheels instead of the RC4WD beadlock or the stock TR beadlock rims.

I've bought easily 50 sets of PL tires over the years and have never had an issue like that. In fact, cannot even think of any problem I've ever had with a PL part in general. That's really odd.

Now I see the good&bad of the flat iron tire, while it suffers ground clearance it performs like a star. I really think I like this tire plus it looks amazing on my wraith.
