Low cost aluminum 1.9's

Just wanted to share this find for those looking for a nice, low cost 1.9 aluminum beadlock. I got these off ebay. I bought a set of 4 for $45 shipped, and then a single one for the spare tire for $13.50 shipped. The wheel alone is 7/8" wide. I just couldn't get myself to spend $150 + for a set of wheels knowing that they are going to get destroyed.

They are pretty small. Do you think they're not strong enough?

you have them mounted up yet? how do they hold the bead and what tire are you using, I am waiting on a response because I am at this moment buying new wheels.

Like the wheels a lot. Like the price even better! Post up a pic with the beadlocks and tire mounted.

I don't have them mounted yet. I'm still gathering parts for a new build. Think i'm gonna go with P-L tsl's on these. I will post up when everything is up and running.

I have PB Rock beasts mounted on these as a spare set with different wheel weights for my comp rig. The few times I have used them there has been no issues.

Two of the small screws have stripped the hex in the head, so if you planned on mounting and remounting multiple times, invest is some better quality screws.

I might just use the trepadors that came with my kit, so i'll mount one up and post a pic sometime this morning.

Ok, here's a trep mounted up. The contact patch is nice and square. These tires are 1.5" wide. I wonder if I went with 1.75" wide tires, if it would crown?

I am now in the middle of mounting up some of the new Proline XL TSL Swampers on these rings.

A bit fiddly but going on nicely.

let us know your views on how they hold up performance wise and hold the bead..

Re: Low cost aluminum 1.9's

After I got them mounted, and stripped one thread (inside edge thankfully - bit of threadlock will hopefully hold it in place), I spent about 30mins crawling on my pile of rocks.

Was able to do a climb I couldn't with the Pit Bulls on several times, and really put it in some awkward positions.

No pulled beads etc. Quite happy.

Cheers
