Snow tires Anyone switch tires specifically for the snow? I was thinking about grabbing a pair of sand paddles for my 2wd Slash for the snow and was wondering if I should bother with picking up a snow set for my scaler at the same time. |
Re: Snow tires I'm running a set of rc4wd mud slingers |
Re: Snow tires Imex Red Rocks, float on top, and churn though the deep stuff! |
Re: Snow tires Either chains or some of the suggestions above. |
Re: Snow tires Just because I had the chain I made some snow chains for the mud slingers I think they will help a lot on ice |
Re: Snow tires Ive been running Panther Leopards on my wraith for hill climb/snow and work well for me. |
Re: Snow tires 666 is spot on "thumbsup" I've had great luck with Imex Red Rocks, they work on everything but hardpack and ice. Paddle'ish in performance but work as well in reverse as the do going forward. http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...DSCN4465-1.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...DSCN4466-1.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...DSCN4470-1.jpg |
Re: Snow tires I picked up a set of Proline 2.2 mashers this summer to try out in the snow this winter. I don't expect much out of them but I figure they will float a little better than all my other tires.. I will also use them in the spring, or as we call it, "mud season". :ror: |
Re: Snow tires i have the proline 2.2 mashers... so far all my rig does is digs. doesnt go well in the snow with these tires... not sure y going to try agian tonight with a different setup. |
Re: Snow tires Grooved and siped 2.2 TSL/SX and a light throttle finger. Running them vented with no foams makes them float well under a Wraith but my rig weighs 11lb now so it may be useless in snow unlike last winter when it only weighed 6 or so |
Re: Snow tires Another for the Red Rocks. Snow is all their good at :ror: |
