Snow tires

Anyone switch tires specifically for the snow? I was thinking about grabbing a pair of sand paddles for my 2wd Slash for the snow and was wondering if I should bother with picking up a snow set for my scaler at the same time.

Imex Red Rocks, float on top, and churn though the deep stuff!

Either chains or some of the suggestions above.

Just because I had the chain I made some snow chains for the mud slingers I think they will help a lot on ice

666 is spot on "thumbsup" I've had great luck with Imex Red Rocks, they work on everything but hardpack and ice. Paddle'ish in performance but work as well in reverse as the do going forward.

I picked up a set of Proline 2.2 mashers this summer to try out in the snow this winter. I don't expect much out of them but I figure they will float a little better than all my other tires.. I will also use them in the spring, or as we call it, "mud season". :ror:

Re: Snow tires

Grooved and siped 2.2 TSL/SX and a light throttle finger. Running them vented with no foams makes them float well under a Wraith but my rig weighs 11lb now so it may be useless in snow unlike last winter when it only weighed 6 or so
