Default removing anodizing from beadlock rings...

ok I know it's been asked I did a search and turned up over cleaner. no luck for me. I sprayed it on let it sit for about 4 hours. took a brass wire brush to it. nothing.

I haven't tried the drano with water solution yet but I was wondering, has anyone tried brake fluid? I know it will eat the crap out of paint but I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it on anodized parts?

on another note has anyone tried a sand blasting cabinet?

Hurricane decreaser strips anodizing in about
10 minutes or less. You need to watch the part closely as thin anodizing strips quickly. And wear a pair of nitrile gloves.

Castrol super clean, just pour some in a bowl and dunk the rings in it for a while..

It's a liquid. Comes in two different sizes. Get a container big enough that when you lay the part in the GL will completely cover it.

I do believe there are proprietary ingredients in "Easy Off" that are not found in many other common oven cleaners that make a HUGE difference in it working well to de-anodize aluminum.

I've always wanted to try de-anodizing with dish washing machine cleaner.
Go to the store and they sell a bottle, usually blue or white with a blue cap, that you put in a dishwasher to clean all the scale and buildup out of the machine.
Don't ask me how I know, but I know the stuff will clean copper quite brilliantly and if you leave a penny in it for a couple days, it dissolves the zinc core and leaves you with a shell of a penny.
Same acid they use in some oven cleaners, just stronger...

Proprietary? ... Um no...

Sodium hydroxide isn't anything secret..
That is why Drano or Drain Cleaner works. Those are basically sodium hydroxide.

I worked in the home care/cleaning industry for about 5 years.
You would be amazed how many cleaners for your home are common chemicals, with fragrance and color added.

without question Easy off heavy duty works the best. Fast and effective. A little lesson I had for everyone.
I had some Vanquish bead lock rings in Orange I didn't like. I tried removing the Anodizing on them with multiple products.
I don't know what type of anodizing Vanquish does but, Holy Hell. I could not get the undercoating off at all.

So don't F@#K with the Vanquish Anodizing !
