I find these tires are HUGE for a 1.9. Unless you're running a custom rig, they are awkwardly large. I tested mine on a G6 with universals and slight offset beadlocks and I was not impressed. Honestly, my Ripsaw tires allowed the rig to handle better, simply because they were smaller and lighter. At 4.75" tall and 1.75" wide, you're rapidly approaching 2.2 size...not always a good thing. My personal experience...they are very "Pretty" tires thought and if I had a custom rig with steering mod and open fenders, these would be the cats meow. If I could get my hands on a 4.4x1.5 pitbull tire, I would be in heaven! |

Took mine for their real first test run this arfternoon with my son and his Dingo on Rock Beasts. Put on my C2 Tubdra SCX based rig. To put in context i usually run this rig on weighted alloy Motoworx wheels with 4.5"CI foams and a 2200ma 3s lipo. For testing i ran these on the stock foams thst come in the new 1.9 PB Growler on RC4WD alloy unweighted wheels with a 1800ma 3s lipo. So less fwd weight than normal All i can say is wow. Point and shoot is as easy as it gets. They bring an unfair advantage almost. I tried simple runs and climbs that are only capable if you get the exact precise line and did with ease. I will say on my rig they could do with some foam tunning for sidewall support, as the increased height did fractionly effect my cog but it was expected as these are taller than the mad beasts and with no foam tunning even with reduced weight i knew it would still effect side hilling. Overall though wow is tge word that comes to mind. Is one climb at this venue we sll test our rigs on thats so steep the trucks normally want to tip end to end without cautious driving. My mate tried last time on PL TSl XL and could not get it. Ive done it previously on my mad beasts byt with these they just walked up. Very impressed and very happy. Thanks Pb. |

I ran my Growlers for the first time at our last trail run and I already love them. Out of the box with CI single stage foams they could pull lines that my broken-in Treps couldn't. Packed dirt and wet rocks were no problem, the only struggle was this hill with some really loose dirt. Only one guy running Swampers made it all the way up. I'm now a Pitbull loyalist and the only thing that would make me consider changing from these tires would be a set of Rock Beasts in the same size. |

I'm liking my growlers so far. Tonight I just put in CI rock Beast single stage foams with the stock outer to see how it does. Seems to have stronger sidewalls and the tread seems a little stiffer than stock. Still softer than using a 4.75" closed cell. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk |
