| LockedUp 2.2" Iconic SLW - V2 question
The LockedUp 2.2" Iconic SLW - V2 front side have all 24 holes drilled in the wheel, and I was excited about this...but on closer inspection it looks like only 6 of them are tapped? What about the backside of the wheel, only six holes drilled and tapped? 2.2" Iconic SLW COMPATIBLE Beadlock Wheel - V2 |

That's he way all LURC wheels are, they hold a bead just fine. Makes it much easier to change foams or tires.

Yes, every set Ive owned has only 6 tapped holes front and rear, in the description it states that the extras holes are just drilled for clearancing longer bolts instead of the shorter "faux" bolts he sells. --Dan |

So what's the problem? Do you really want to screw in all 24 front bolts every time you take the tires off? It's just so you can use regular length bolts instead of the insane little fake 2x1mm scale bolts which I HATE installing. Thank God you only have to do it once. It was a great decision on their part to do it this way on their new wheels. You don't need it on the inside, it's just a regular ring held on by the same 6 bolt pattern. You can't really see the inside so no need for the scale appearance. That is pretty standard among a lot of scale wheels. |

Don't strip out the holes ;) Inner ring actually looks good. These rings match the axial bolt pattern Last edited by evan03; 04-22-2014 at 06:21 AM. |

They hold a bead very well! I realize I am partial to lockedup wheels but I just mounted a set of swampers on mine and the bead seated perfectly! |

The 8l wheels are about like stock width. I have a notch in the ring for the valve stem. That is a mounting bolt . Every 4th is mounting bolt. My tsl's also mount easily actually very easy never had trouble like people do. I do love these wheels Last edited by evan03; 04-23-2014 at 06:24 AM. |

In person it's much easier to tell or see which are the locking bolts but you can always tell by looking for one thing. On his 8 lug design wheels there is always one set of bolts that lines up complete straight in a row including two hub and two bead lock screws, like seen here then it's just by count ie: real - fake - fake - real etc etc On the slw comparable wheels I believe all the real ones line up with the hub bolts. I don't have my set I front of me but I'd say I'm 99.5% accurate. --Dan Last edited by sickcivic95; 04-23-2014 at 08:07 PM. |
