Mounting rc4wd Baja claws onto rc4wd wagon wheels?

I just bought a set of the 2.2 Baja ttc claws and a set of rc4wd 2.2 six lug beadlocks and can't get them to come anywhere close to being able you mount them up. They can't come close enough together to work. It this a known fact or is there a special way of doing it? This is my first set of "internal beadlock wheels" so I might just be doing it wrong.

They are a MOFO to install! There is a alternative ring you can buy that makes it easier though. Somebody will chime in.

I remember using a long bolt through the center (from the back) with 2 sided servo horn and a locknut on the front.

my cheat is to cut flat spots in a pair of washers to clear 2 of the lugs and use them with a 1/8" screw with a plain (non-locking) nut to gently tighten and clamp the 2 halves together while i get the lugs to start threading. call it a mini-press of sorts

Do you guys think that mounting these on the stock poison spyder beadlocks would be any easier?

Don't do it... The first couple of beads you assemble are a pain in the ass, but you will get the hang of it. Actually rc4wd are the easiest to put together

i figured it out. i just took a long m3 screw and nut and a spare 12mm hex, put the screw through the hub and then assembled the wheel. next i put the 12mm hex on there so that it could pull the top part down, and a nut. just tighten from there and boom! perfect.
