Default plastidip and rubber

So i bought some wheels and tires off the classifieds and the PO had painted the rims and tires with black plastidip. I got it off the rims no problem but im having trouble removing it from the tires. i rolled it off the side walls with moderate difficulty but i cant get it out of the tread block and sidewall lugs. i thought about using a solvent but i dont want to damage the rubber and i cant pick it out with a toothpick or sewing needle as I dont want to damage the tire.

any thoughts?

Could we see a pic? I might say either find some sand paper or maybe a cone file. If its clogging the tread and it won't come out, a razor or dremel might be needed.

i don't know for sure if it will work with plasti-dip but washing the tires under really hot water and soap will usually clean them right up with a little bit of rubbing and scratching. also it makes them feel and look new, so that's a plus.

If you're still struggling to get the plasti-dip off, try coating the tires in WD-40 and let them sit for 5-10 minutes, then wash them off with hot water. WD40 turns plasti-dip into butter and comes right off with no residue.
