2.2 Axial Trepadors R35 compound

Just picked some up, they seem very stiff around the shoulder area. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with em and what you did if anything to soften em up.

Thanks,
Travis c.

Use them. That's the best way to soften them up. After they are broken in and you still don't like it, then look into it.

Drive'em! The carcass is thicker than the normal R35s we are used to. They break in nicely, mine are anyway.

Thanks fellas, good to know, but I really want to hit em with the Dremel.:ror:

I guess I'll try em stock for a while.

I run them and love them. Very scale proportions.

After about 20 hours or so, they break in very nicely.

Drive them!

And yes, they definitely feel harder then my ripsaws or my old BFGs. I was skeptical at first too. But they do soften up.

Thanks for the info, but I couldn't resist! I took a Dremel with a thin wheel to some of the side/shoulder lugs to get some more flex out of the tire. I'm happy with the results so far, but still need to run em. Hopefully this afternoon I'll get em on the rocks.

Thanks for the info fellas!"thumbsup"

Siped em to the carcass only where the stock grooves/sipes are, it definitely helped with the flex. So far I'm VERY impressed with these tires.
Thanks for the replies fellas!"thumbsup"

I was a little put off by these when they showed up as well. I remember thinking "this doesn't feel like r35". I was unhappy about it for some time actually I know that rock beasts and tsl's are the "best" but I'm super happy I gave these a chance. They are in fact r35 there's been this debate weather axial even produced treps in r40.

This is after about six packs and properly venting the rims with stock foams. I plan on running the cheapie gmade gt wheels I'm eager to see how they do with a cut foam.
