| Wheels for 1.9" Rock Beast?
Hi all, I got a set of 1.9" rock east for scx10 and tried mounting them on my RC4WD jeep looking alumni mum internal headlock wheels and no matter how hard I try squeezing them they won't hold the bead lock. I get it where it looks good then there is at least one part that is not inside when it tightened up. Is there a trick I'm missing or are these tires just oversized and need some other wheels? If I need other wheels, what aluminum bead locks work well with these tires Thank you |

I've had issue with RC4WD wheels not playing well with non-rc4wd tires. If you don't want to spend the money on other wheels (or tires), you might get away with putting some small spots of ca glue around the rim just to help hold it in place while you get them together. With small spots of glue they should still come apart fairly easy down the road.

Try putting your tires in the freezer for awhile, it will shrink them.

I have mounted my rock beast on jk stock aluminum wheels using the internal ring made by rc4wd to fit pro line tires ( and in this case it works even with pitbull tires). Also I used the Crawler Innovation Single Stage Closed Cell and they really help to keep the tires in shape while mounting them around the beadlock. I've even tried the solution given by TrailSnail, and is a good one. Just use 4 small drops of c.a. per side, around the inner ring, so in future you can remove the tires in a easier way. |

I have mounted 1.9 Rock beasts on several different brand wheels. They mount up easier on VP wheels. I've been running the rock beasts on RC4WD Raceline Monster wheels, it definately takes time and becomes an art to mount certain tires and wheels in general. Once you mount Losi Boss Claws, you can seat the bead in any tire lol.

I ran mine on these Gear Head wheels mostly. They practically fall together without any effort at all. |
