Default Looking for comparison on 1.9

OK guys I have three rigs and am very happy with two of them. I run the pitulbulls and absolutely love them, but I'm debating on getting the tsl swampers and don't wanna waste the money ya know. It has the factory trepadors now but I haven't heard anything good about them. Any advice would help

Have you ever run the Trepadors ?
They are actually quite capable. As are the TSL's....it really matters what terrain you're running.

Agree with Postclanker. Treps are pretty solid tires with some good foams and the right terrain. They will do really well on rock and anything hardpacked. They are not very good in loose dirt or mud however, so that would be one reason to switch if you encounter that a lot.

Actually, the first time I ran the Treps was on a muddy rainy day comp. I did stuff with that truck that nobody else was able to. BJB is right though, you need to tune the foams.

It was a real fun day.

Oh man that pic takes me back, Uncle Clanker... was a rough one.

I can confirm the treps, although it seems they need to have some weight on top them and some decent foam tuning. I've seen the smaller tsl's and also the larger ones do some awesome things.

Well I try to keep my rigs out of the mud, and here its all sandstone and Creek rock so it's kinda slick. I'll probably run the trepadors that came on my new jeep u til they shit the bed. Thanks for the input guys

+2. I got some lil nova 4.5's in soft (light truck), and now I can climb everything I couldn't climb before. The stock foams allow the tire to fold under so easily that the truck rolls over if a light breeze hits it. Going with 4.25's should slightly increase the contact patch, but you will also give up a slight amount of lateral stability as well.

Am I the only that think Treps su**? Grip is far from as good as Proline TSL in any kind of situation I've tested them in. Snow, ice, rock, sand and mud. We where out on a trip with 6-7 different cars and several of the climbs my car was the only one that didn't make it to the top. Changed to TSL's and the same car was suddenly amongst the best.
