| RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC Tire Opinion
Hi guys I have been looking at these tires for while and thought I would ask your opinion on them, Mickey Thompson 1.9 Baja Claw TTC Scale Tires (pair) I would like to know if they are any good for rocks, dirt and logs as that is mainly what i drive on. Also are the foams they come with alright or would I need to swap them out for something else? Thanks in Advance Last edited by jackjc98; 10-28-2014 at 02:34 PM. |

with the right foams and a mild cut they are badass and clean out mud well. uncut they are terrible in wet conditions. check out my post in the cut tire thread

I dont dislike them, but I find they worn out pretty fast...in one run, you could see that the rubber was slowly falling apart, that's why I didnt really used them alot...sold them to a friend who liked the look of it...told him about the problem but he didnt really care

I think they are made in the X2SS compound now. Get that version, and you'll probably love them. I even had decent luck with the old harder compound years ago. Especially on the trails with lots of dirt and roots. The new ones should be great on the rocks. All my X2SS RC4wd tires do good on the rocks.

| Re: RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC Tire Opinion I disagree but that's opions!!! I like the MT's they do very good on rock terrain & mud. I also use all tires in this thread but the Pits, too wide for me.The key to any tire is proper foam setup!!! A shitty foam can make any good tire suck but a shitty tire is hard to fix & Baja claws are not shitty by far like tons of others...

I have the baja claws mtz on a g6. Stock foams seem to do alright. They do need better foams. But I have only had these and stock r35 trepadors with stock foams as well. So I don't know too much. Maybe softer foams to form around rocks and such. They are a little firm. But mtz's are way better than stock treps.
