Default Rc4WD 2.2" Steel wheels/swamper irok question

I have 2.2" steel rc4wd black stock style wheels. They are the three piece ones that the inner and outer of the rim sandwich the tire and then hub goes on and the nuts/bolts go around the center. I have irok 2.2 mounted on them. My problem is when they get squishe down from driving they don't come back up again. They still all flat and squished until I pull apart the whole wheel again. What can I do?

Sand/file down the bead surfaces of the inner and outer wheel halves to provide some grip for the bead of the tire. What's happening is that one side has spun from its original location.

What's better than that are the discontinued CHUD steelie spacers. They allow the steelies to grip any tire.

So my objective is to keep them slightly sealed instead of putting holes to let it in/out? I was wondering if I should be putting vent holes in the wheel or tires somewhere but was trying to avoid it.

Vent the tires!!! It will let the tire perform much better!!!! Either way hole in rims or tires still let water in but the foams will dry! Which to me it's a no brainer to vent tires!!!

Interesting. I have the same wheels with 2.2 Mudslingers on them now and am about to switch to a set of Iroks. I've never had the problem you mentioned with the Slingers and one of the things I've really liked about these wheels is how well they seal and keep water out. I've contemplated venting the tires but hate all the gunk getting inside the tires and wrecking the foams.
