Complaining about an awesome new tire. That pretty much sums up the majority of the people on this grumpy forum.

Unlikely.

I guess we've learned one thing here. If you want to compete in a SORRCA event, don't buy these tires. Period. Next topic please. Can we talk about how much of a jerk I am again, that's fun.

Maybe 2-3 posts in this thread so far have been about the actual performance of a yet unreleased tire. We're grumpy about the illegal size, keep up junior.

Completely missing the point... Most of us are are more perplexed as to why Proline would purposely exclude an entire market segment, no matter how large or small it is.
Also, how do we know this is an awesome tire?

Hey guys, hate to break up your .01" discussion, but I have a legitimate question about these tires.

This summer we are having a Top Truck Challenge that has many different events. There will be mud, rocks, pulling, climbing, all sorts of terrain. I need a tire that will do well in many conditions. I can go up to a 4.8" tire. Would these flatirons fit the bill, or is there something better out there?

4.76 > 4.75. In sorrca events, maximum size allowed is 4.75...This is not a difficult concept.

These tires aren't even released, so nobody knows.

In sorry I thought I made that clear before hand.

Here it is again. I can give a flying **** about sorrca, it's a waste of time and effort.

It's not a difficult concept for you guys complaining, we don't give a shit about sorrca.

Whoa simmer down now, these are just toy trucks.

In sporting events and competition there are rules, in order to level the playing field they must be abided by. This is also not a difficult concept.

It's actually not a waste if time or effort, it's something that means a lot to me. There are a lot of people that do care about SORRCA and love to use the rules for competition. Stop being a little bitch and think about others before you put down something that is important to many.

I think you mean "YOU" don't give a shit about SORRCA. And I suppose you give a flying **** about USRCCA as well?

There are a lot more people then you may think that do, in fact take a count in this thread alone compared to you "don't give a shitters" and you will see.

The fact of the matter is as Big Daddy stated "Most of us are more perplexed as to why Proline would purposely exclude an entire market segment, no matter how large or small it is."
Why they didn't do more market research before releasing the new tire is one that baffles me.

I'm pretty sure that this tire went from concept straight to design without conducting any market research or ProLine would have caught this one and made the change as they are trying to do everything they can right now to get back into the scale market.

Then why are you posting in this thread?
Why so much passion about something you don't care about...why put in the time and effort if it doesn't effect you at all?
