Why would they re-release a tire that isn't that great?

Seriously? I take it you have never ran a flat iron tire. they flat out hook up on the rocks and will outdo any pitbull tire any day of the week.

Yea, the flat irons were a good tire. I imagine that with the upsizing, the treads got a little more spaced out and a little taller. Look like it anyways.

I was excited until I saw the height. There's at least one stupid mother ####er at pro-line that needs to be fired.

I had the 2.2 Flat Irons, and I wasn't very impressed. And on other people's RCs, they didn't seem that great either.

But that's just my opinion.

I am just curious if it was planned to be just over the Class 2 legal height or a simple mistake or a who cares, it looks good at that height.

That's just un called for, a tiny percentage of potential buyers are affected by this, and I for one would prefer an accurate size listing to one manipulated to fit some obscure arbitrary rule.

They look better than the original. Wonder if that .01" is on purpose or a simple design decision/byproduct.

We get it, you don't care. Some do. Doesn't make either opinion more or less valid.

IMO they're just oblivious. I don't see why any business would purposefully exclude a large part of a niche product's customer base. I agree though, it looks great, I'm just mad that this is awesome tire (the 5.8" swampers being their other mistake) that has no use to me.

Probably true

I wouldn't argue that it's an obscure or arbitrary rule though. It's a rule that's been established for 3+ years.

This is reeeeeee-dickless. I loved the originals. I ran them till every lug was rounded off and worn down, then cut em', and they hooked up even better than when they were new. If it weren't for the lack of GC, I would still run them. Someone at PL definitely dropped the ball on this one and killed alot of their sales.

Looks better than the original, IMO

I wonder if they did any market research.

Just a few open ended questions (or a survey) posed here on this forum would provide all kinds of valuable information.
