The HPI Savage tires have the cool swamper look you are after Phantez, and they are a super soft compound. Beware though that mine are showing signs of wear on the lugs after 1 month of crawlin. I don't know how long they will last but they hook up real good. BFT's have an advantage over them because the BFT's are taller.

You can see the Savages on IMEX Outlaw rims, and the BFT's on Hot Bodies rims, on my post here:

what rims will the BFT's fit on? Stock Maxx, Clod, 40-series Maxx, JumboMaxx....

It's better to cut the tires too, right? trim out some of the tread for better grabbing action?

Has anyone done that with a Maxx stock tire??? I have a set and not sure what to do with them yet....

They fit stock maxx rims, and you will want to trim the tires, dirk has some pretty good examples. As for the stock tires, Junk them.

I put my BFTs on TXT wheels....they work awesome.

As for the swamp dogs.....they work well if heavily trimmed and your truck is very heavy.

You could get the bft's, or wait for the new k-rock tire from imex.

He cut the tire, something that takes major balls.

I narrowed them by cutting out a section of the tread, then glued it back together.
I don't know about balls......probably more like a bunch of dead brain cells.

I think i might just buy another set of stock emaxx tires, because the ones im using now have foams in them (I used to jump it) They seem to look like they work good without foams by looking at the Misfit indoor rock crawling video in the videos section. (And i can buy them purly with my lunch money i was givin from parens Looks like i have to eat 25 cent fudge rounds for the rest of the school year instead of a regular lunch. Only 1.5 weeks though. )

Now i only need to know how to cut a good pattern in the tread to make it flex more. What do i use and where should i cut??????

For starters, read my how to here...

http://www.mudcow.com/Page%2022.htm

Then use your imagination to come up with a cool pattern. This is half the fun!

I just searched it up, saw the picture of exactly wut i wanted, looked at what was required to make sure i had everything, says nothing about tires needed to be bought) im afraid that they are only the rims!!! Ok ok, my original plan was to just get another set of stock emaxx tires because they were cheap and just cut them myself to make my own pattern, but sense now the price if i get the stock tires will make this set go over $70 i wanna know if its worth it. Would the imex swamp dawgs perform better than the stock cut up tires???? If so i will just go to my LHS and get them there and send my rims back to Tower when i receive them, but keep them if it has tires too. I need to know ASAP because my uncle will be here TOMARROW MORNING and i want to have the tires ready by then so we can do some crawling (Hes never seen any rc cars better than a Radio Shack one) What should i do???? SOmething better than swamp dawgs for the same price?

Personally, I think ANYTHING is better than a maxx tire for crawling. Honestly......they suck.
I would get any of the imex tires or like we said before....go for the BFT's.

Just to make sure, will these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFUL6&P=7 fit on these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGZP1&P=7 and will those fit on the emaxx? also are those the tires you are talking about, the BFT's? Do they need to be cut to work well??
