Default Wheels to suit 2.2 pitbull rockbeast XOR's

Hi,

I managed to snag a set of barely used original rockbeast XOR's for next to nothing, but am struggling to get them mounted to any of my current wheels, mainly because they are so damn wide. Try as I might they won't take to my axial rockstars, rc4wd bully or a set of cheap plastic gmade beadlocks. They are an absolute perfect fit on my 2.2 De racing stadium truck wheels, but obviously the offset is way off and they look pretty silly.

The main issue is I get them mounted up, they look good, but just won't hold the tiny pitbull bead, so much so that I can just pull them off the wheel by hand.

I'm currently thinking of gluing them to some 1.5" crawler innovation 6 bolt's, but if anyone could suggest some reasonably priced beadlocks I could be persuaded.

Thanks in advance

Not quite sure why you're having those difficulties. I have a set that was originally mounted to Rocksters with no issues (run hard on a Wraith), then switched to RC4WD Militants, also with no issues. I've also used RB 2s on the Pit Bull beadlocks, and they work very well also (and look sweet). Out of curiosity, what foams are you using?

Using the stock foams that come with the XOR's for now, as I don't have any others spare on hand.

The new proline fault lines are nice and wide. I mounted pit rb2s so I don't have the exact matchup but a good option none the less. You'll need slw hubs or some plastic ones from a yeti

I'm wondering if the stock foams may be getting in the way a bit. I've been using CI 2-stage foams with my Rock Beasts, and those have a firmer and narrower inner foam than stock. I had an issue with the stock foams on 2.2 Flat Irons getting in the way of the bead on some wheels. I ended up trimming them back a bit around the inner edge of the foams (on both sides), and it was much easier to get a good lock. That might be worth a try.

Foams are nowhere near the bead at all.

Ended up ordering the ci six shooters with vp slw hubs and some 5.5 ci dual stage foams to match.
