Default CC01 Tyre Advice

I've been looking to change the tyres on my stock Tamiya CC01 and have a few questions.

The stock tyres as they look like the can grab on to some small rocks for light crawling but as you know there like plastic so hardly any to none grip or the tyre wont contour over the rocks a little. I'm not going extreme crawling or anything just a little more than trailing.

Anyways I've been looking at RC4WD 1.9 Dirt Grabbers and SDI 1.9 Scale Doctors.

Issue in my mind it this. The Dirt Grabbers look more scale to me for the stock Pajero look but will they be okay grip wise for rocks as they dont seem to have much tyre protruding to grip onto anything while the SDI's do or am I just over thinking things here?

Many Thanks Chris

Both will do pretty good on rock and trails, however they will suffer a bit in loose conditions or mud due to the more densely packed tread. That's the general rule anyway. Pretty good tires, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thank you, I think I might give the Dirt Grabber's a try first as I prefer the look of them for a stock truck, Didn't even consider the tread getting clogged up either. I'll see what else is available before I make my decision, Thanks again!

1.55 mud thrashers would be my choice. They are a great tire on my tf2. If you must have a 1.9, the dirt grabbers are a pretty decent tire just about everywhere dispite their harmless looking tread. I loved them on my D90.

Keep in mind the stock tires are relatively small in overall diameter you may have issues with clearance. With me it was not a problem because I was building mine and simply raised the shell before cutting the posts.

The Losi Mini Rock Claws off of the 1/18 Mini-Rock fit perfectly. They are a 1.9 rim.

The Vattera Slick rock 1/18th crawler tires are also a great fit. They are a 1.7" (not a 1.9 as listed) tire but the rims are super cheep or can be stretched onto a 1.9".

The Losi have better rubber, but the Vaterra TSL look more scale.

I was looking for smaller and got a mini rock crawler tire/ wheel set. It was a mistake because they had no foam and they were unusable because they rubbed the c-hubs (I have aluminum aftermarket c-hubs)

I like the Vaterra tyres the best they look the most box stock. Think I'll give them a go too. See what the difference is between them and the Dirt Grabbers. Thank you for the information

Do they rub on the little nubs on the inside fake beadlock ring?
My Losi's rubbed there too, & just cut the nubs down. I have stock hubs though.
The inner ring may not even be needed since I think they are glued tires.

Think is the same as the Axial 1.9 I used to have. Swapped the inside beadlock for the Outside and had to file them down so they cleared the knuckle, Not a bug job just annoying and having to respray them too so they don't look like they've been hacked at or at least mine did lol
