| looking for 1.9 tire
So I'm looking to get some new tires for my scx10 with a jeep Cherokee body. I am currently running maxxis trepadors. The trepadors do OK but not how I want. I mainly drive on either sand , dirt, and rock. I really like the looks of the tsl boggers but really like the 1.9 mud slinger xl. Only problem is I want the size to be right. What would you guys recommend for tires? I want something around the same size as the trepadors no smaller then ripsaws. |

Either the Swamper XLs from Proline or the RC4WD IROKs. The RC4WDs will be slightly shorter than the Treps and the Prolines will be slightly taller but both will be much wider than your current tires. The tread pattern and soft compounds are hard to beat in the typical dirt, sand, rock trail surfaces.

The regular 1.9 Super Swamper SX are 4.3" (same size as the Ripsaws), the Super Swamper XL and Flat Iron XL are 4.75" and 4.76" (just a bit taller than the Trepador @ 4.6"). I went with the standard Super Swampers for the Dingo since I wanted the same size as the Ripsaw that were already on it.

I have a set of pl tsl sx @4.3. They are pretty good if you need to watch wheelwell space, as they are the same size as ripsaws ^^. They work well in pretty much everything. I have 1.9 treps on 2.2s, they suck in wet rocks and slick mud. They are comparable or better in some dry scenarios than tsl's. Ripsaws are effective, but awkward looking. Pitbulls are pretty sweet rubbers. Their compound is great and they seem to match or slightly outperform tsl's. I want to do a set of 1.7 siped iroks on 1.9 ssd black and silver steelies, with ci deuces wild for my next set.

well i ended up buying some rc4wd compass tires. there going to be big for my crawler but i think im going to like them. if they are to big i might either try to cage my jeep or trade for different tires. what are your guys thoughts on the compass tires.
