| Which pitbull tire should I get?
I want to get an alternate set of tires for my scx10. I was looking at the madbeast, is there any reason the growlers or rockbeast are better?

| Re: Which pitbull tire should I get? I have a set of the growlers and they are tall, kinda wide, and hook up! The rockbeast are to short imo. Haven't tried the madbeast but they have the height and are skinnier than the growlers. I am considering a set of madbeast for my current rig if the wildpeaks don't work out. They are all the same compound and all will hook. Comes down to the size you are wanting for your rig.

just depends what height do you want. I got rockbeast course I don't want it to be super tall and more suitable for my body.

I use both 1.9" growlers, and 1.9 rock beasteses, and I like both, rock beasts grab a jagged edge better, but growler work really well on smooth surfaces, I've never tried the mad beasts, but I did ask a guy I respect, and trust, and his opinion was that the spacing between the lugs of the mad beasts was too small, so I ended up not adding them to the collection.

Growlers are the only PitBulls I've tried, but they do work! The tread is tight, but looks are deceiving. These will climb rock like no other even when the rocks are wet. They're not the best in mud or loose dirt though.

Ya I like these madbeast. They were boringly easy to mount on axial 8 holes. The carcass seems very soft and sticky.

I ran some madbeasts for a while, hooked up great on rocks, in the mud they didn't want to self clean but still a great tire

I have used rock beasts on a few rigs, they work great as an all around tire. The stock foams are just a little too soft for me, what are some of you guys using for foams?? Thanks

If you decide to try something else get Growlers with Nova dual stage foams. They foams really make them come alive.

Growlers are too big and fat for my rig. I have lil novas in my treps. Yes they are superior to stock foams. I will get a set of novas for my mad beasts, but for now,I have the tires non vented with stock foams, and there isn't excessive tire deformation at rest with all weight in chassis
