Ok, I had to do it , I just called Imex and was told the K-Krawler is 7" tall and 3" wide and of course fits Maxx wheels, they should be here in a month. Just thought you all would like to know.

Aren't kongs 8"? I must have those krawlers, if they work half as good as they look.

Ya sounds like those tires might be better then I thought. They definately looked alot smaller in the pics that I have seen of them. Hopefully they are 7 inches tall.

plus running them on narrowed rims will give them a little more height.

Oh , I also called LOSI and the 7x4.2" LST tire will be available in late June. Got so excited about the Krawlers being 7" tall I forgot about the LST`s.

I called Imex. They said the crawler is 7"x3". The Jumbo kong is a medium to firm rubber and the Krawler is soft.

Im doing the IS to SA conversion. What do you think is better, 8.5" Kongs or 7" Krawlers?

No one has the Krawler tire yet....

Kongs are a very healthy tire. My Kongs, no foams, narrowed rims weigh about 5lbs. The sidewalls feel thin but I've only had them on the rocks once and no damage. Mine are not grooved yet, so the stock V tread is still intact. It's almost too much tire. The only way for Kongs to work well is to do what Digler did to his, cut'n'shut the tire.

I'd say that if you have yet to finish the axle project wait for the tires... once the Krawlers are released many of us will be picking them up and doing plenty of testing.

The Krawlers sound good but only time will tell.... I'll be picking up a set as soon as I can.

Someone maybe Blackwidow was suggesting for the IS conversions to get Kongs because the wide axle width. So I wasnt sure if 7" would work or if I should go with 8".
