SSD wheels and SSD knuckle interference?

Howdy, I just installed a set of SSD C's and Knuckles (love em!) and mounted up a set of SSD Assassin 1.9 wheel's (love em!) and discovered the inner ring is bound up against the knuckle, has anyone run into this? I remedied this with a little help from a Dremel and after doing one I thought to switch to a Wraith hex and clearance wasn't an issue! (so I ground the second side so they would match...)

Must admit I always test with the Axial Wraith hex as I thought all Axial trucks came with those style hexes.

It's a shame you dremeled before testing other options.

I dremeled mine as well, I didn't want to run wide hex.

Yeah I would have looked at other fixes before getting the dremel out myself..

No worries here thought, Its not the first, nor will it be the last time I break out the Dremel!

FYI I really enjoy your products, keep up the good work!

skybolt, you can get .5 and 1.0mm spacers for the hex and you wouldn't notice the difference in track width

there's just a 1mm (.0393") difference in width between the Wraith and SCX10 hex adapters (stock Axial parts), but it can be the difference in a wheel that fits and one that rubs a knuckle or steering linkage

some wheels and wheel hubs specifically for the SCX10 will not fit a Wraith hex adapter due to the 7mm dia. snout and 9mm shoulder on the Wraith part. Wraith wheels and wheel hubs will fit the SCX10 hex adapter but may have slight clearance issues like skybolt had

I'm actually a bit ashamed that I never realized the difference between the two hexs, I was actually fishing around the spare parts box for some (cough cough) traxxas wide hexs and found some old wraith ones. I do feel like a pecker head for panicking and grinding away without stepping back for a minute [emoji53]

Thanks, it's been so many years since I had stock SCX10 that I just simply forgot.
