I figured I would try a set of 1.9 showdowns since they are so cheap. If they run as good as proline's tsl or hyrax these will be my new go to tire.

Just ordered a set of 2.2 Showdowns for the Wraith. $38 for 4 tires! At that price, I figured they are definitely worth a try! (C3 compound)

Not the pre-mounts, but pictured are my new 2.2 Show Downs (C3). Comparison against Axial BFG's and Trepadors and on the Rig. The compound feels very soft and tacky. I think these tires are going to work out great once they're scrubbed in. You simply cannot beat the price either! I got all 4 for $40!

Those look perfect on the gorgeous Boom Racing Kraits you have them mounted on, and on that rig even with the white lettering facing out!

That thing seems like it can't decide whether to be a rock racer or a rock bouncer... great choice.

Thanks! I have a dedicated crawler and a Go Fast rig in my Losi Baja Rey. So, I kinda blurred the lines with the Wraith. That said, it does crawl pretty well!

Huge props to my Duratrax Showdowns!
2nd place yesterday in the 1.9" class at CWRCC G6 event. https://www.facebook.com/events/1119...tab=discussion
I'd like to thank Duratrax for making such an inexpensive great tire.
They grab the rocks, run the loam, & stay clean in the muck.

basic SCX10ii Setup:
Tire: Duratrax Showdown (vented)
Insert: F-Proline CL 2stage , R-stock Duratrax
Wheels: heavy generic Aluminum Bead Locks.

Still took the 1st loser position

Rear foams would have helped...

I put 1.9 Duratrax Scalers on Gmade plastic beadlock wheels and first ran them on my Komodo.

They are significantly taller than the stock tires and I was really happy for the performance. I tested on my backyard rockpile on a day where it drizzled most of the day so the rocks were wet and the tires collected dirt and I was still able to take lines that were nearly impossible with the stock tires.

Next I tried the 1.9 Scalers on my Ascender and they did as well or better than stock.

The extra height helped on some lines that were more difficult with the stock tires.

The rocks were wet and the tires were covered in sand and they still did well.

I was surprised at my truck....to me ..... These Duratrax showdowns worked flawless..... I don't use foams... My tire going flat , bead coming out , a lil....tire got punctured , lil pin size hole.... Tire glue yo the rescue ..... Tires did really well....video from going up a rock ..... https://youtu.be/xOYIXTYCJ7A
Edit......Oh and no foams in the tires....just air

My personal choice was CI Deuces Wild TSL XL. They fit perfectly. Very happy with that combination.

Here's 1.9 Deepwoods on Gelande II. I had them on a CR01 and they were great. They are very soft and tall for 1.9.

I love Duratrax Banditos for my on-road buggy. The rubber compound gets gummy as it heats up, and the tires *do* heat up noticeably even on cloudy days when the pavement isn't hot. I'd certainly give their crawler tires a try if I were in the market. Not sure they're the most scale-looking, though.

Painted letters come off easy, and the Scaler models have the Goodyear Wrangler-style sidewalls - I think they deliberately avoided matching tread designs to avoid paying licensing fees.

That way they can pass the savings on to the customer...
