Tried a set on my Wrascenderaith over the weekend and was happy with them. I'm still working on tuning the foams, but even with a pretty bad setup on the foams they still clawed their way up stuff pretty well and looked great. I think with a better foam setup and a little more scrubbing they'll get even better. I might even pick up a set of Scaler CR's to play with too. It's hard to go wrong at 15 bucks a pair.

hello fellow crawlers. i am new to crawling and came across this thread. i will fist say that i am disapointed in the bickering of which company is better, that took up about 3 pages of this tread. Now that these duratrax tires have been out for a a little while lets get some decent feedback. Who has used the 1.9 tires with beadlock wheels? i have a set of rc4wd and axial beadlocks waiting for a set of these tires. thanks.

I'm mounting them on SSD steel beadlocks and found that CI DW foams for Proline TSL XL is a great fit! I will post some pics once they are mounted.

These tires worked ok on my Vaterra Ascender in dirt, sand and granite!

I like them.

Mounted easily on SSD D-Hole beadlocks:

Next to Vaterra 1.9 TSLs on RC4WD Wagon Wheel beadlocks:

Tires, mounted or tires with foams not mounted:
DuraTrax Performance Tires - Scale/Crawler Tires

Not settled on foam yet though, haven't tried stock because they felt too soft. Installed Ofna 1/8th scale orange outers with stock foam as inners but didn't mount them. Think I try that next.

I wasn't sure at first about the white lettering, but then once they were mounted, I like them! Careful mounting the tires, if you pull hard on the white letter side they will start to lift off. They mounted pretty easily on SSD wheels. Each pack of two tires comes with a left and right so you can mount black wall or white letters out. New2rocks had asked about Vaterra TSL vs these Duratrax, the Duratrax tires are considerably softer, pulled some good lines that Vaterra TSL didn't and the beads are perfect. Never had an easier tire to mount and I have not washed, simple green or anything, just mounted and go. Might add that I bound them up hard until the motor stalled and the beads held tight!

These tires are a great price.

After some extended crawling with these tires, they work just ok. The tire carcass is so thin and soft that they suffer from lugs folding over like the Ottsix KLRs, even DW foams can't save them from lugs that fold over and slip on extreme climbs. The rubber is very soft, but it doesn't get good and sticky even after lots of hard running, tire spinning on granite etc. I took them off my truck and set them aside for now. Mounting up a set of Vaterra TSLs with new foams.

2.2 Showdowns....Very aggressive. Maybe too much so - good for loamy PA dirt and what not - we'll see about rocks though. Tires feel great

Anyone have a set of the 1.9 Scalers mounted up?

The specs say they are the same size as the Deep Woods but the Scalers look a bit narrower in all the unmounted pics. Maybe it is the stock foams causing some sidewall distortion or maybe it is just my eyes.
