Took delivery of a set of 2.2 Showdown earlier today, C3 compound is super soft, feels like my RC4WD Genius tires, and the included inserts are a med-soft density. May not need the Pro-Line 2-stage foams I ordered with them. Tires look good on 1.3" (33mm) and wider wheels, they look more like an inner tube (overly rounded sidewall and tread profile) on the 1" wide SSD steel and knock-off KMC XD795 wheels I have. The pictures don't do the tires/wheels justice. The wide look much better in person, but the narrow wheels look even more ridiculous. I have a set of 40mm (1.57") wide Hot Racing, black steel D-hole wheels on the way. May order a set of white 8-hole. |

Just measured the Showdown on the Locked-Up wheels with the Duratrax inserts and they're 5.95" diameter, not the 5.3" Tower has in their specs. Width is 2.4".

Well that's two R/C crawler companies I won't buy from. First Vanquish and now Ottsix and both for how their representatives have conducted themselves on social media and message boards.

Played with bunch of foams today and settled on CI DW foams for Proline TSLXL, now to find wheels! |

The first wheel is the Trail Ready from Locked-Up with two wheel wideners and their Sever beadlock ring. Bead width is 39.34mm (1.54") with two wideners installed.

Wow! That's some good looking wheels, think i might get a set of the Approach or Scaler tires. And the price is insanely good, i can almost get 2 different setups for the price of one setup from the more expensive brands! Last edited by Haziza; 06-25-2016 at 05:24 AM. |

Got the Hot Racing steel wheels in and have a few pictures with the Showdown mounted. The wheels have a 6-lug removable hub, but it's not SLW compatible. I don't like the screws coming in from the back to simulate a lug stud, so I tapped the M2.5 through-holes in the hub for M3 x .5 thread. Tires mounted up pretty easy using long screws and they're shown below with the Pro-Line 2-stage over-sized foams. Wheels are 40mm total width with a 37mm bead width and have a PVC inner lock ring, the hubs are designed for Wraith 12mm hex adapters. A good steel beadlock for about $50-55 for a full set with hardware and hubs. So the complete set of Duratrax tires and Hot racing beadlocks cost about $100. |

Just picked up a set of Showdown 2.2's also. Should do great in our mixed PA terrain with the open lugs. Good looking tires, and feels like a nice compound too, we'll see how they do. Personally, I like the white lettering. Totally facing it out. |

So I assume the bead is normal and compatible with most beadlock wheels? So close to ordering a set of 1.9 showdowns for my 1.9 wraith. |
