Default Duratrax 1.9/2.2 Scale Tires

Duratrax has 4 new scale tires offered in 1.9 and 2.2. You can get them mounted and un-mounted. The wheels can also be purchased separately.
Tires are molded in soft "C3" compound.

Here is what the 2.2 wheel looks like. Offered in both black and black chrome.

C3 is Duratrax Super Soft compound, very similar to Pro-Line's M4, Axial's R35 and Pit Bull's Komp. C2 is their Soft compound, which is very similar to Pro-Line's M3 and Pit Bull's Zuper.

I don't own their new crawler tires (yet), but have several sets of their short course tires and wheels. The quality of the rubber is excellent and the C3 Super Soft provide a lot of grip on my short course trucks. They also seem to held up well to abuse.

I'm interested in some for testing, but I'm waiting for the sizes.

Here is a shot of them compared to other tires out in the market. This should give you an idea of sizing.

The tires are now up on Tower

TowerHobbies.com | Search Results

The prices are quite good ($18/pair for 1.9s, $20/pair for 2.2s), hope the performance good as well. Based on other Duratrax tires I had in the C3 compound, I don't expect them to be as soft and sticky as Pitbull, Proline, or RC4WD X2SS tires but better than RC4WD tires in X3 compound.

I hate to be the naysayer here, but I think these tires sum up Duratrax. They jump into things half-assed and then wonder why their product fails to sell. The price is good, but if the rubber compound, tread design, scale-ness, and size don't meet the current demand why even bother?

While I like raised white letters on certain rigs, I could of done without the giant white letters on a non-licensed tire myself. Just my .02.

The look cheap enough to give them a shot. I oval race a duratrax tire and you can make the C3 compound really soft with a little bit of tire prep. They tend to have a glaze on them that once you get through that the really soften up.

Yes, but a little Simple Green and scrubby should hopefully remove that.

Good info, thanks! On second thought the slightly large size might go well on my 1.9 Wrascenderaith.
