| Duratrax Scalers 2.2. Anyone tried them?
Ordered a set of the 2.2 Scalers, and wondered if anyone's run them yet? Thoughts? Impressions? Thanks! |

Initial observations/impressions: The tires are very lightweight, but this is most likely due to a lack of internal ribbing/reinforcing. Compound is very soft to the touch and quite pliable, so I'm hoping for decent traction qualities. They are a bit taller than the 5.5" listed; closer to 5.9-6ish. The stock foams are nothing special, and fairly tall & narrow (IMO) for the tire's body. They're currently mounted to the stock Axial Walker Evans beadlocks from my Yeti. They've flattened out & widened a bit since being mounted, but I think that a change of wheels & foams will greatly improve the profile.
