I would try Prolines new single stage for high speed usage or their new dual stage for crawling. I haven't tried either yet but I soon will.

For my 1.9s, I used CI 4.75 novas with medium outers. I'm also using CI DW closed cell on my 2.2s but I'm getting ready to switch to 6.0 with medium outers to get some more grip.

I've had several sets of the flat irons I can never seem to get them to grip up, not sure if it's my terrain or foams. Will the foams really matter all that much?

Foams make a huge difference in handling and crawling... and landing from jumps if that's your thing!

Go check out the Crawler Innovations website, they explain everything there.

That's even if you end up going with Pro-Line foams (they are playing catch-up in the crawler foam world with a couple new releases)

Did a bit of dremel work with mine, and they totally came to life. Just opened up the sipes a bit. They were always good on rocks, but that was it. Now they grip everywhere. And yes, foams make quite a difference.
