So there's that.....

Seriously, WTF is it with Voodoo fanboys trolling the threads of other tires? Is that a requirement for sponsorship? Of course Voodoos work amazing on the super grippy rocks of the West Coast. Bald tires would work just as well when the rocks are like 100 grit sand paper.

I own KLRs, but geezus I'm not going around trying to convince others my purchase was worth it like a lot of the other KLR owners...

These Hyrax tires are next on my list. They're ProLine so I know they'll perform well. I really do wish they'd release a slightly softer compound though for just that much more grip.

Haha, I just saw you being skeptical of the new hot thing man - wouldn't be right to blame you for this one.

Hey guys.. Deep breath... Just to clear the air, I don't think I am better than anybody.. If you read my posts you'll clearly see that I put in my review of what I saw with the Hyrax. Which is what this post is about. The other comments were a response to negativity and misinformation around the KLR and U4. In the end, I'm not trying to sell you anything.. Run what works for you. I simply stated that KLRs work for me. Everyone have a great day! Joe P.

Yup. 3rd in the Hill Climb, 1st in TTC. He obviously knows a thing or two, so I'll take his word that these are good tires. I'd feel comfortable buying a set.

I'm not saying they're bad tires either, just unproven. Until proline gets on the ball and offers tires in stickier compounds I doubt these are much different than sx's which are very good tires for what is done with them.

I see nothing wrong with what Joe posted. He told his opinion of the Hyrax and defended the multiple negative remarks that were thrown at Voodoo. IMO, those were the comments that were out of line. Can't blame a guy for sticking up for what works for him, especially when he's sponsored by the company that makes them.

I think it's just the fact that not everyone takes ball busting the same online...just cause a couple guys like the same sarcastic comments doesn't mean it looks like a joke to everyone.

For what it's worth, I think that the tire is good and the driver is better in this case. Maybe the open lugs helped a bit more than the typical Swamper tread would, but the only way to know will be continued feedback on how they work on different rigs, and maybe a few more podium finishes.

Correct, one review doesn't make it a good or bad tire, it's just a review of one man's experience with the topic.
