| Tires for Tow rig, Firm Foam?
I've been researching 1.9 tires/foams for my tow rig. I really want to stick with something scale looking, like you would imagine seeing on your tow rig. Unfortunately most of the licensed or name brand 1.9 scale tires are super soft for crawling. Which means finding a really firm set of foams for at least the rear, to help with tire squat. Having a little trouble deciding... I know the military style tires would be perfect since they are a harder compound, and come with stiffer foams but, then that's not really that "scale". I really like the ATTURO TRAIL BLADE M/T, looks like a nice scale A/T tire really, that would would expect to see on a daily driver or tow rig. But I found a set of tires on ebay from alientacllc that looks like toyo MT's, $20 for 4 of them.... almost seems to good to be true but they would be perfect. Especially for that price. But he has a good reputation and feedback so.... I'm thinking about picking them up. Will still need to find some really firm foam for them though. Any help there is appreciated. |

Thanks I'll take a look. Definitely need something firm. I found a set of hard foam for a different tire but the dimensions should work. But these look better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

Check out Tamiya hummer tires. They're rock hard.

Check out the RC4WD Mud Thrashers and Tomahawks, which are very similar to the look you're going for. Here's a pick of the Mud Thrashers: Here's a pic of the Tomahawks: Both come in the X3 compound, which is firmer than their stickiest X2SS compound while still providing excellent all around performance. Both can handle the weight of heavy rigs (10+ lbs) on stock foams. I've used both on multiple trucks in a wide variety of conditions and really like them. |

Thanks. The tomahawks are what I ordered. I did pick up a set of hard foams for the rear though. They look great on the Ram & are plenty firm on the rear w/ hard foam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
