@calcagno45 - I have the 2.2's pre-ordered. But it seems like they're taking forever to actually ship them.

As soon as these are available, they're going on my IFS Bomber. The Flat Iron XLs I have on it already are pretty good but after running the 1.9 Hyrax I know the 2.2 will be a major upgrade in traction. Can't wait to run them.

They work really really well i will post up vids today of them next to a pin tire. And also a jconcept barcode and a rupture. Same 5 gate climb same rig same everything minus tires. You are going to be suprised who came out ontop by a big margine.

I definitely want to see this.

SCREAMER, are you going to run prolines 2 stage or single stage foams on the IFS bomber? I'm torn between both, but leaning towards the single stage. Are the single stage same height as the 2 stages?

I need to see these! Looking at the specs of the 2.2 I wish they didn't make them so wide.

I like a wider tire in side by side a wider tore has better forward bite narrower can dig uphill better.

I was able to check out a set of ProLine's new single stage closed cell at the LHS a couple days ago and I'm sure I'll never run them. They are downright hard. Even CI DW foams have a little give to them but the ProLine's were very stiff. They might be good for a 15+ lbs truck but I'll never know. The single stages are not the same height as the dual stages, they are significantly smaller and that may be how ProLine intends for you to get traction with them. The huge flat spot that's left due to the void between foam and tread. Maybe I'm way off. I'm sure PL knew what they were doing when they designed the single stage closed cells but I'll let someone else test them out.

After seeing how the 2.2 PL dual stages fill out my Flat Iron XLs I think I will go with CI 5.5 standard inner medium outer if the Hyraxes are the same height. If they are a little taller, I'll switch to 6.0 comp cuts with medium outers. I mentioned earlier, the PL 2.2 dual stage outers are between CI's medium and firm and I want something a bit softer in these Hyraxes. PL's 1.9 DS foam is perfect for the 1.9 Hyrax.

Wow, I'm glad I asked! Definitely stayin away from PL single stages.

I would think the PL 2 stage will be a good option since there between CI med/firm but after they have some run time and break in, they will be perfect (like a brand new CI med). CI med break in and get kinda soft and start to fold on cornering or side hilling. I like CI firms after there broken in. But also comes down to tire stiffness and how heavy the rig is.

The inner is a tad taller and wider les prone to fold. The ci dosnt fold either right foam for rig weight

SCREAMER said the 1.9 PL 2 stage was between a soft/med.

2.2 PL 2 stage was between a med/firm.
