Default Boom Racing 1.55 Yota LC Scale Beadlock Wheels

Boom Racing is innovating like no other company at the moment if you ask me. Here's an awesome addition to the scale community. I wish they were also offered in 1.9, but nonetheless these 1.55 wheels are awesome!

Those are cool.

I agree, Boom has stepped up their game. Some very interesting ideas lately.

Welcome to 1980. (last year of that Toyota rim design in US?)
Unfortunately wrong color lock out, & lockout detail wrong.
Looks like a mix of 1970's Chevy & 1970's-80 Toyota but isn't either.

So scale snobs need not apply. They're still bad ass.

I keep going back to building a LC70 body and then figuring out what chassis to put it on.
I do wish these would come in 1.9, im sure they will though

I'm working on an LC70 build now and none of the pictures online do the body justice. When it's in front of you the quality is fantastic. I can't wait to finish the build. Considering a set of these for the build but I'm not entirely unhappy with my RC4WD stamped wheels I have on it now.

Pretty sure this was 100% a thing. And here's my photo evidence to prove it.

I don't know about anybody else, but Boom got close enough to that for me!

I'm giggling a little inside. Thanks for that Guy lol.

So does anyone have a set of these to comment on quality/ease of tire-mounting/etc.?

I don't have any of these because I don't run 1.55, but I do have some Boom Krait wheels and they are great and Voodoo KLR's mounted up to them without any issues at all.

They just came out of pre-order. Mine are on the way. I will say that I've seen them mounted on a variety of tires and don't expect much issue. Their Krait's seem to bolt up to anything.

Not exactly a "budget" wheel set, but I have to say that they look like they absolutely nailed the 'steelie' look.

The quality isn't budget.

If you want budget buy some RC4WD wagon wheels and mount them...

Yep. That looks like a WARN hub to me. They make nice paperweights. That's about it. Very weak.

Paint the Chevy Bowtie on the rear hub cap and it would look very similar to the stock wheels that came on my '87 K5. If I ever do end up building the stock version of my truck with a TF2, I may have to grab a set of these.

Do you realize this is RC and the hubs aren't functional?
