Mine showed up today. They look great and feel like sticky Proline rubber. Im running them at KCRC comp Saturday so we'll see how they stack up against Hyrax and Pitbulls.

After a couple packs on the Krawlers I think they are just a better looking Hyrax with maybe a bit less traction on slick rock when tread is wet. I did manage to tear a sidewall open on one of them Tuesday which sucks but I have a replacement coming. Better looking scale appearance with Hyax performance = Proline Krawler

I want to hear what you think, Bil. Now that you've ran the Hyraxes for a bit, I'm curious how these compare. I just can't see them being as good as Hyraxes with all their siping and almost the same tread pattern but with more void between lugs. The Krawlers do look great though.

Axial and Proline side by side. Axials fit the ci Deuces Wild Mad Dog and prolines fit the ci Deuces Wild TSL XL foams. Prolines feel much more sticky. (I just wish they started making a normal bead like everybody else.. )

Axial looks way more scale imo. Proline is too wide.

I agree, but for a big tire I think the Proline looks good, and I think it will perform well.

I treated my rusty Toyota to some new shoes. Proline's newest 1.9 tire; BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX. I ordered CI lil' Nova 4.25" foams; soft outer on the fronts, medium outer on the rears. This size foam feels perfect for these tires and I am confident they are going to perform really well. Very good spacing between the lugs and of course, P-L's sticky G8 compound. The pics show them right out of the bags, I still have to give them a bath in some Castrol Super Clean (Purple Power).

Looking forward to seeing how they perform out on the rocks.

No, it's not light at all. With 4.75" foams, the tires must have been bulging and very stiff?

No, still quite soft. I ended up installing the Deuces Wild TSL XL, as recommended by CI, so I'm looking forward to try them I love the Deuces Wild.

Just went out for a rock crawling test sesh with these BFG tires/foam combo I mentioned above and they performed equally with the KLR silvers; which IMHO are the best tires available. Needless to say, I am extremely impressed. I haven't even washed them yet.

Ottsix tires....they basically set the crawler's tire benchmark IMHO. Silver is the compound.

How do these compare to the axial krawler in preformace, I run the axial tires now and they seem work great but I like the wider look of the proline

Funny to me is that they seemed to do the opposite of the KO2s here. The PL KO2s were skinnier, now the PL Krawlers are a bit wider then the Axials.

It's because lazy. They use the same carcass for all tall tires. KO2 needed a all new carcass for the size they used.

That makes more sense then, funny enough after I posted that I saw this video here where the PL guy straight up says it's based on their "XL" carcass that they use for their other wider tires.

Yep while the carcass is fine I think a narrower one would have been better for this tire.

Got my BFG KXs yesterday and the initial impressions are good. They are a little taller and narrower than the Swamper XLs which are supposed to be the same size. Even without foam, they were slightly taller than my Swampers with CI single stage foam.

Don't know if Proline has been tweaking their tire beads over the years or not but the KXs were a breeze to mount on the Incision wheels; no longer screws needed, no fighting with uneven seating, no hassles at all. The stock foam is even pretty good for fairly lightweight trucks. I would call it a medium density open cell foam with a similar feel to the firm outer foam from a CI dual stage but no where near as dense as a new Pitbull foam.

These have the PL dual stage inserts and they are perfect; fill the tire completely but doesn't overstuff and distort it, good tread compliance, and plenty of sidewall support. The inner foam also has a rough textured top so it grips the outer foam and keeps it from sliding side to side.

Here are some comparison pics between the KXs, Swamper XLs, and RBXLs.
