Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler I have these in predator and they work really well. They are wearing like crap but the traction is a perfectly acceptable trade off that I expected. |
Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler I gotta try these in predator. I've been running the G8's and they have been fantastic. I was testing 2 other sets of tires today, and I kept missing having these on the truck. |
Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler I only have one run on my Predator compound Krawlers using the Proline 2 stage foams but I was impressed. They seemed to grab and sidehill very well. I'll be running them on my C2 instead of the Hyraxes. |

Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler I've ran Hyraxes for a while on a few different trucks. I had great luck with them on my C2 in the past and don't have any complaints about them really. I just like trying different tires. A lot of the guys here run Hyraxes, so it will be easy to compare how they do...I'll keep a set on standby so if I feel like I need to swap them out, I can do it easy. |
Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler So for an update: My BFG Krawler rigs were doing amazing cmpared to the Flat Irons - which do a great job as is. I was having a little to much tire roll on them tho so decided to switch foams. One set I did the Proline Dual Stage Crawler Foams/Soft, and then another set I did Crawler Innovation Soft front/ Medium Rear. The proline definitely applied filled the tire more than it should have but it still looks perfect and feels nice and soft. One of the main reasons I enjoyed this set of foam for the Truck I chose it on was to help ground clearance. Scored 10mm from the diff - This will help SO MUCH from hanging up on rocks. K10 Front bumper: Rear Bumper: 107mm Front Diff: 35mm Rear Diff: 35mm Tires: BFG Krawler (STOCK) K10 Front bumper: Rear Bumper: 117mm Front Diff: 45mm Rear Diff: 45mm Tires: BFG Krawler (Proline Foam) The Crawler Innovation foams was super soft compared to proline, mainly the inner ring I think. The medium was more like the Proline Soft. On my Cherokee I lost 2mm in front, gained 2mm in front. I have more tire bulge sitting than it did before, but for sure turning is much better and tire isnt just rolling over. This will be interesting tests out on the field Cherokee Front bumper: Rear Bumper: 90mm Front Diff: 40mm Rear Diff: 40mm Tires: BFG Krawler (STOCK) Cherokee Front bumper: 105mm Rear Bumper: 95mm Front Diff: 38mm Rear Diff: 42mm Tires: BFG Krawler (Crawler innovation) https://i.imgur.com/B6SsbW9l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qNIFOS3l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dPiOpKRl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/d9uPMwvl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hq5vbIzl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jYjC92yl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8sQdRTvl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/P5Hyvl8l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wnEQIail.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Zhrpf5el.jpg |
Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler good feedback on the tires and foams. i have the PL dual stage foams in my Predators and they feel pretty good on the bench, but i haven't run them yet. what wheels are those, btw? Injora? |

I'm bout to take them out for a spin and see how it performs The wheels I believe it's THESE. Not bad for price and great addition in weight |
Re: Pro-Line 1.9 BFG Krawler Picked up a set of the 4.75 inch Krawlers in Predator compound along with the 2 Stage Pro Line foams mounted on a set of Injora wheels to try out on my Capra. https://i.ibb.co/Lncjg91/21-D8-BA09-...8333-E0611.jpg |

Little Recap of my initial review after swapping the foam, and this was only on the BFG Equipped with the Proline Stage 2 Truck Definitely noticed the ground clearance I gained. It was very nice to gain roughly 10mm and the COG did not change at all - still stayed absolutely planted in this 4 linked truck. Made some climbs easier as I got hung up less. So foams to fix ground clearance is a real thing boys. Too much sag on stock foams https://i.imgur.com/MEdtfGrl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xuwt1G5l.jpg Tires were still very sticky - I was having doubts as it looked and felt like a 1:1 tire aired down only to 20psi. There was more tire slip on certain scenarios but never a moment of "losing important traction" overall. https://i.imgur.com/MN4zhTdl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/N0rrX03l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TZ8umjkl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xDoBCI4l.jpg

Maybe not a con to most, but only gripe with the Stage 2s had to be how stiff the center foam was. My Crawler with the battery comes in only at 6# 8oz, these foams would be better. Most likely a better fit for my Redcat that comes in a little under 8#. For now, I took out the Stage 2 from the BFG Krawlers to put in the Flat Iron XLs - probably a more natural combo.. Replaced with Crawler Innovation Lil Nova Soft/Medium in 4.5". Super excited to try this combo - tire looks and feels perfect. Will get diff measurements for ground clearance once I get new axle in. Still have the Crawler Innovation lil Nova soft/mediums in 4.25" to test with the BFG Krawlers on the Axial Cherokee, little worried how soft the front looks on the bench, very similar to stock foams which explains the 2mm~ drop in ground clearance. But it doesnt crumple nearly as easy so for a light 6# truck should match well. Ill keep you guys posted! So far tho any foam the Krawlers are hands down my stickiest tire on rock & wood/bark https://i.imgur.com/arcRvttl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TMZu145l.jpg I |
