Default Will Yeti Jr wheels accept normal 1.55 tires?

I have an extra set of 1.55 mud thrashers, and was wondering if the wheels from the Yeti Jr would work. I am new to 1.55 and cant find any wheels cheaper than the wagon wheels. I'm just wondering if these Axials might work on the cheap. Thanks in advance!

Yes. 1.55 is 1.55, tire height doesn't matter.

I'm more worried about them having a different bead, or something odd with the clearances.

Nope, there a normal glue on rim and rim size is 1.55. I have a yeti jr and unglued the tires to run them on beadlocks.

The tire glue on all 4 of mine started breaking loose. It only took a little pulling and stretching to break it all off.

I used the uncure stuff. Run a bead around the tire, let it sit for a bit, then use your thumbs and push/stretch and reapply and repeat. Some tires take longer then others depending on the amount of ca used. It takes some time so be patient but it works.

Have guys tried the 1.55 pit bull growler?
They are 4.19inch tall compared to the stock 3.25.

But they can fit the lil'nova dual foams.

Too tall?

Way too tall.

I tested a set of RC4WD Mud Thrashers and I thought they were still too tall at 3.7 inches. The RC4WD 1.55 MTRs should be a good size at 3.5 inches, those are my next tires.

I went with some Slickrock wheels and small Chinese 1.9s. Looks sorta like the Yeti XL. But now even with a 3000kV 2445 it'll cog so bad in grass it needs a push start to get going. I may end up brushed again.

When you say too tall, Is it just based on the scale look or does it rub or mechanically not fit

I wanted to get some rock beast but now thinking the mtrs will be better since there smaller then RB but taller then stock. Plus the option of CI foams is a plus. But I'm still hesitant to trying them for fear of more roll overs due to added height and stickiness. I know these stock foams aren't helping roll overs though, so anything else will be an upgrade. SVT, did you end up getting the mtrs yet?

Has anyone else ran different/bigger tires/foams and noticed it was worse on a yeti jr?
