I only have the 1.55 size but with comp cut CI foams they conform to rocks. They shoudn't be hanging only from the lugs.

I run 4.5 lil novas with soft outer in all my 4.75”. Maybe they were to short for them. I’m worried about this with these MTR also. They feel the same rolly polly lugs. The rubber is so soft in this compound. I see the others are running similar height foams. Maybe it’s just me as it very well could be. I feel like if the lug rolls to much, hows it gonna grab?!

The lugs are really soft and roll around a bit. I mounted mine up to another set of wheels and will be giving them a shot on my TRX-4 this week. I'll be in a different terrain than what I used them on last. More loose dirt and mud. I'll see how they do here since I wasnt impressed with them on rock.

I’m also struggling with how a tire facing one direction on one side of the rig can pull a line in the same manner as the tires on the other side that have the lugs facing the opposite direction?

My OCD is struggling to make sense of any of this...

I have them so I should definitely try them before I write them off.

The 1:1 MT/R has the same asymmetrical design and is VERY highly regarded... so the odd nature of the tread is not negative to its performance.

I love my 1.7"x4.19" MT/Rs, running stock foam on RC4WD Raceline beadlocks. It's a pretty darn good foam for stock - not the same foam as is used in older RC4WD tires.

I too am struggling running tires that don’t match side to side but I am sucking it up and ordered some 4.19 x 1.9 MTR’s for my class 1 since everyone else is running Hyrax’s and while they seem to do well I don’t feel they look scale.

IMO, you are WAY overthinking this. Run them and see what they're like where you typically run at. If they work, great. If they don't, sell them and try something else. Bench analysis will drive you nuts.

I like them.

And after seeing them perform last summer, I know what they're capable of with the right foam setup.

Which foams are you running?

Also wondering if anyone is able to post some side-by-sides with other XL sized tires. I really like a narrower tire, so wouldn't mind seeing it beside some Proline Krawlers, TSL's, Rock Beasts, etc.

IIRC it's so that they can back you out of a bad situtation as well as they get you forward into it. Awesome looking scale tires, just try them.

YYes.

Good to know and this size tire is fun to crawl with , great side-hilling and nice scale looks. Good they changed the foams, better is nice.

Where are the reviews for the 2.2?
You don't find much online, everyone is all about hyrax and Tsl xl...

bilinvic has used a set on his Bomber, IIRC... he swaps wheel & tire sets fairly often, and is currently awaiting a particular wheel to mount them on again.

Yeah He's pretty much the only review i saw.

I absolutly love the 1.55 MT/R on my yeti Jr so i really think they will be nice on the bomber. I just like having more feedback.

CI 4.5's I believe. EDIT: They might be 4.75's but saw two seasons of use.

Been wanting to get a set of these tires but all my distributors are out of stock right not but would like to have 2 sets of tires for my Ascender and these are my 2nd choice as I have Hyrax's now but would like a spare set of tires.

Ok all mounted up. Now, if I like them do I use the silver wheels or the grey wheels?! These are skinny that’s for sure. Here’s some pics for you guys to see just how skinny they are.

Ok so I like the look and I retract an earlier comment about not liking the look due to the lack of side lugs and lugs facing opposite direction. Now, to conquer getting over how skinny they are. I think they’d look much better if they were 1/4” wider.
