Default 1.9 Goodyear MT/R

As you all know, RC4WD has brought us some incredible scale tires as well as some that don't quite look right. Regardless, I give them much respect for taking the risk and coming out with a ton of new tires. Some might argue that their compounds are not as good as others but I feel they do just fine and the tires can hold their own in the scale comp environment.

So on to the 1.9 MT/R...

When will they be released? What size or sizes will they come in?

I know the trend these days is bigger tires but it's getting to the point they are so huge that our perception of "scale" is becoming rediculous.

I personally would like to see an MT/R around 4.5". What does everyone else think, am I alone on this?

I'm with you .. I am over the huge tires .. 4.5 is generally a nice size 1.9 .. just like the hyrax .. love them but too big for my trucks .. if much rather see more 4.5 but a few good 4.19 tires is always welcome too for c1 lol and I too like the xss2 compound from rc4wd

Ive been waiting for MT/R also. But I'm a 4.75 guy so that's what I'm hoping for. But if it comes out a 4.5 thats cool, I'll just keep "rockin" the Compasses.

I like big tires it's just so hard to get them to clear most bodies decently without basically remov8ng the fenders totally .. hence why the rockbeast XLs I b ought are just sitting :-(

My opinion is both tall and short tires have their place. Now that we have many different style crawlers, scalers, rock racers, monster trucks, etc. it really depends on the rig you're building. I say the more tires the better. With that said, for me any 1.9 size tire over 4.6-4.75 is too tall but to each his own.

Default 1.9 Goodyear MT/R

I love the size of the original Rock Beasts. I chose them specifically for my recent build because of the size, they are perfect!

I had some Hyrax sitting around so I put them on, and they're simply too big. Looks goofy.

The Hyrax is an excellent performing tire, but yeah, a little big and a little out of scale. I opted to run the original Rock Beast as well, primarily for looks and performance I can count on.

I'd really like to see a 4.25 - 4.5 max 1.9 RC4WD Goodyear.

The x2ss compound is the best out there in my experience across all the various weather changes and types of terrain I've crawled on in New England. Don't sell it short. It has proved its worth to me several times over.

I'd love to see more mid sized tires, have had enough of the huge tires (love the new proline boggers though ) None of our comps have size limits its just 1.9 or 2.2 wheel so I couldn't care less about staying within class 1 or 2 just tires to fit popular rigs like the tf2 and Land rovers out there as well as various scx based rigs.

The MTZs came in a 4.6" size. I'd put my money on it being similar to that.

The MTR is Goodyear's staple off road tire. I personally don't want it to be small. The 1.9 bar has been raised with the new XL PB Rock Beast. RC4WD would be silly to not through the MTR in the arena.

Exactly! A 4.75" 1.9 truck at a comp can put a hurtin on a 2.2 truck that doesn't have its sh*t together.

Agreed! Love 1.9s, but anything over 4.6" is too tall, let's keep crawling challenging and scale.

Looks great, but why not slightly smaller? Giant tires are out of control these days in 'scale' trucks.
