Sweet, they look and feel like nice tires. Dangit, 4.5-4.75 size is all I'm asking lol. I put the suggestion to them, maybe if others email them too. |

Cool. Yes, but RB is not avaialable in Alien compound (plus I like Ironside realistic tread better). Madbeast are kinda skinny and tread blocks especially down the middle are little too tightly spaced. I've tried Rockbeast and they work well. |

The madbeast kick the snot out of the my rb and rbxl on the rocks we have. I think it is because they are narrower and put more pressure per square inch of contact area. Thats just my guess. I would love to see the ironside or pbx a/t in a 4.45 to 4.65 height in the madbeast width. So much so i am thinking about finding someone who can cut the 2.2 down to that diameter. I dont have the skill to do so. | |

| Re: Uh oh...new pit bulls coming! Hmmm, we've got lots of hardpack and loose dirt/sand with lots of granite slabs. Looks like you're mostly shale, sandstone and dirt? Yes, smaller contact patch sometimes works great because of more lbs/sq inch. Yes, me too. Would be nice, let us know how it turns out if you do. |

I have a little bit of everything. The ground is leaf litter and loam, and my rocks are predominately granite that has been gathered into old farm walls. However there are lots of river rock and slate around. They clear very well in the loam wet or dry, and most of our rocks work well with friction grip. I don't have a lot of terrain that required tread and lugs catching. I think that's another reason the MB/PBX work better then the RB. The way we drive also impacts our preference(I know captian obvious, right?) I like to let the tires catch the rocks and slowly eat, trying to maintain contact. Only complaint is that they are not so great when you have to give it power and bounce over something, That an wet wood. I'm blessed in that I own an acre of woods which currently has a 47 gate course set up. I get to do the exact same gates under different conditions and tires anytime I want. Normally 2 or 3 nights a week plus weekends. It gives me a chance to see how a tire works perfect one day, but change the temp or dampness it doesn't. Same rig same day, ran og RB, PBX and RBXL it was really amazing how the smaller tires(PBX) kick the snot out of the larger tires on certain rocks, and how the XL failed miserably on some rocks but rolled over other like they were a joke. I am almost at the point where I can change tires according to conditions. By almost I mean Ill go out and say dam I should have put the RB on for today. A few days ago, I received my set of Pit Bull Braven Ironsides. They are soft, sticky, and nicely designed. They don't really say "UTV tire" to me, they could easily pass for an all-terrain/mud terrain hybrid as a full size tire. Unlike Pitbull's other tires that come with the firmer foam, I thought the included foam was much too big for the Ironsides. A set of dual stage foams were cobbled together from a CI 4.25 inner foam and the outer foam from a 1.55 Growler stock foam. Also unlike typical Pit Bull tires, these ones seem to be small for their size spec. At a listed 4.19 inches tall, they are shorter than both the 1.55 Growlers and 4.19 KLRs while only being slightly taller than the 3.85 inch 1.55 Rock Beasts. A set of Incision Method wheels were used as tire holders. Traction was immediate and impressive. The tread pattern grabs on everything and the Alien compound is supremely sticky. I already like them better than the Growlers, they are on the fast track to becoming my favorite tiny tire. |

Here is a size comparison of the 4.19 KLRs, 1.55 Growlers, PBX ATs, and Ironsides. The PBX ATs are listed as 4.05 inches tall, all other are listed as 4.19 inches. |

I would like to try some pit bulls, but they are damn hard to find over here in EU ville, so it will have to be one of those i can wait 2-3 weeks for these deals, and its not often i have the time for that.

Yeah will have to keep my eyes out for those new Ironside tires from PB. Cant buy from RPP how much i want to, cuz i am not at a financial place where i can afford to pay for 6 - 8 wheels to get 4, and that's pretty much how it will end up comparing me buying 4 tires at RPP Vs a American buying same 4 tires at RPP. There are some local sellers in the EU, but they seem to be out of tires every time i am in a place where i can pretend to be able to afford buying 4 tires. BUT ! some day things will come together, and besides its not like Demark have a wide selection of different things to drive on. 85% compacted dirt 5% loose dirt or sand 10 % compact dirt with clay in it And if you are lucky a stone here and there dropped by the ice in the last iceage some 12000 years ago. |
