Got my 1.55 rockbeast's today! I dislike wagons but I had a set laying around and they work well on the truck and with the tires. Can't wait to get out and test em. They got ci foams right away as I had a set laying around just waiting for these.

I should note that mounting the XORs on my wheels with the CI foams was 10x easier than with the stock foams, since the CI dual-stage inners are actually shaped with the bead/wheel in mind. I had forgotten about that part...

What wheels have the 1.55 rockbeast been successfully mounted on, I just tried a set of rc4wd dick cepek torques and it was pretty bad with stock foams

Another new PB tire:

Braven Ironsides - 4.19 x 1.3 x 1.9

Funny they basically released their ATV tires as scale tires, but those look convincing enough to be an A/T truck tire.

Eh. A/T truck tires aren't typically nearly as wide as they are tall. I'm sure they will work well though.

Not sure what you mean? I'm running 285/75R16 A/Ts on the 1:1 right now, as far as I see the proportions are pretty accurate.

In the photo above they look super wide like ATV tires.

100% that's because of Pitbull's foams, my XORs did the same thing and it made them a PITA to mount. CI foams make them look normal again.

Interesting. I am a big fan of the "old" dual stage foams that Pitbull includes in the OG 1.9 Rock Beasts.

The new single stage Pitbull foams included with the new Alien Kompound tires don't seem to have mass appeal. Judging from this forum and the Facebook groups about half of the people still have to buy CI foams for their application. Pitbull should keep the foams and lower the price. I mean the foams were part of their justification for the high pricing. The tires are even made in Taiwan. Were Pitbull RC tires always made there?

Hey sneetches, what size/cut foams did you buy for the XOR's?

The 4.25 made em taller and skinnier? I thought they're 4.5" tall

The 4.25 is not the height more rather for the weight of the truck

Really? I thought the outer foams were more to the vehicle weight and the inners were tire height specific...

From what I understand when you order them they have the 3options 4.25 being lightest and 4.75 heaviest truck. Then you have options for stiffness of foam. Which helps dial in the traction. I could be wrong though. I'm running 4.5 foams in my rb xl's. Soft front Med rear I believe.

They all use the same sized outer (even the 1.55 Growler foams), its the inner closed-cell foam that changes height. It is based off the weight of the truck more than anything. Eddy (Nova's Ark) has a thread in this forum that has some general recommendations, as well as a video on YouTube that explains the foams (worth a watch). Worst case (or best) is call him directly and give him tire used, vehicle weight, and intended use and he will recommend a foam.
