| Hyrax question
What size foams 6" or 5.5" ? Looking for bashing foams, not crawling. I've always used CI, but ProLine has their own foams, not sure where to go Hang up and Drive |

I've read that the dueces wild are great for that. One of my buddies here swears by them in his bomber. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk |

I hit up Eddie at CI for a recommendation several months back for my Wraith Running PL Hirax 2.2s. Me - "First, an Axial Wraith that I'll be using primarily for Trailing, Scale Ultra type, higher speed trail running. Technical crawlability isn't as important as taking care of roots and rocks at speed, and tires not folding over during turns. Would your Deuces Wild foams be suited best for this? Or a med-firm dual stage? Tires are Proline Hyrax 2.2." Eddie - "Wraith: CWR-1025 front CWR-1026 rear" Hope this helps. |

For bashing? What rig? Sounds like fun! I have my 2.2 Hyrax mounted on Gear Head wheels with the ProLine 2-stage foams are the outsider diameter 5-3/4". 6" would be too big IMO. The ProLine foams fit the tires well as they should. They are, IMO, too firm for crawling. They might actually work for bashing. I guess it depends on how heavy your rig is. |

I absolutely love the proline dual stage foams with my hyrax they are perfect for what I do which sounds about exactly the way you drive. I've got the mmx with 1415 series 2400kv and a 2 speed and 15t pinion so she's quick . I also run them in my 1.9 hyrax and extremely impressed. All that being said I think you'd be happy with ci also as they are top notch, I just went with proline to match the tires haha |

The wraith is getting heavy, and the Ruptures work well for crawling. I have some rocky fields that are great for speed, but my DD aren't stiff enough for speed, as you can see the fronts flatten. Cost is minor between CI and ProLines. I thought the 6" would be too tall Hang up and Drive

you can get the 6" only difference to the 5.5" is a removable outer ring which i took off for my klr's so now they are 5.5" the provided foam i use for my hyrax 2.2 on a ax10 for crawling gives no side support with is needed for speed. |

So i did a little reading and then it made sense. 6" foams would be too tall, but as my Wraith is heavy these will give me more support up front and as always a bit more out back. So this is exactly where I went

6" dual stage has a larger closed cell and thinner open cell with a 1/4" ring added to it. I run 6" foams in hyrax and ruptures for the added stability. They work well.

If your only bashing, I would get the DW tall foams. But if you want a DD, then definitely 6" with firm. PL dual stage outer is between a CI medium and firm. There basically the same size as CI DD 6".
